I've had this for awhile and it really surpasses my expectations. While there isn't an extensive amount of cushion it's very sturdy in construction. It's very convent for classes and work where you're running around with a laptop bag and then all your pens in another bag and your notebooks at the bottom of your back pack. You can pack thin notebooks, chargers and pens into this and just pull it out in one go. All said I wouldn't suggest dropping it and if you have a 13" macbook it's a snug fit, I'd recommend getting the 15" option.
