Absolutely great after giving it a rinse when first out of the box, I popped it in the freezer compartment of my fridge/freezer overnight, then I popped some cola in it and gave it a squeeze and had a great cola slushy, (which was really nice in this hot weather), then I washed the cup out and popped it back in the freezer ready for next time, the company advices making the slushy with carbonated drinks as this makes for a better slushy, however you can use non fizzy drinks, which I tried today with a shop bought ready made Ribena drink (non carbonated) I had to squeeze the cup for a bit longer but it worked well on this too. I bought this as it was a lot cheaper than getting one of the electric slushy makers at a couple of hundred £££s, it’s well worth the money and if you like slushys I advise getting a couple as you may find your kids ( for their pop or squash) or your friends will grab this for themselves (to make a nice iced cocktail) on a hot summers day

As an adult, I love slushies but didn't want to pay for a machine that makes tons! Just the one for me. PERFECT, my only moan is that, its not a very big portion, otherwise brilliant, literally out the freezer, add some liquid and squeeze for couple of minutes. Absolutely brilliant. Love it, Can you make a slightly bigger one though please

This is slushy-maker is amazing!Pre-freeze the cup overnight (there is a cooling liquid embedded in the sides of the cup that makes it work). Take the cup out and pour in your juice of choice (we used Fruit Squash). Squeeze the cup for about a minute, and in front of your eyes, the squash freezes into slush. My daughters (and I) found this amazing, and delighted in eating the flavoured slush with the spoon and straw (included).A few tips - don't fill the cup up to the rim (the liquid needs some space to move when you squish it). And younger children may want to wear gloves as it can get a little cold squashing the liquid as it turns to ice.Overall a great little contraption which will be perfect for summer!

The media could not be loaded. This is a great idea and ideal for the summer months. Basically once the cup interior has been washed and dried, simply stick the empty cup in the freezer for at least 8 hours.When ready, remove and pour in your desired drink. Give it some time and then start squeezing and kneading the cup and ice crystals start to form. It takes a bit longer to get the full slushy effect but my youngest loved it and it is very easy to do.The cup design means your hands don't get that cold even with the frozen inner and the fact as a parent, I can determine what is used, means I don't have to worry about any sugar highs going off the scale.The only small note is that everything is hand-wash only but other than that... bring on summer.

The media could not be loaded. I got this for my 6 year old, and she was very excited to try it. I didn't really think it looked that good, but I'm actually pleasantly surprised!The instructions are easy to follow, everything seems well made, and looks bright and fun. I love the spoon straw that comes included, and the domed lid makes it look like a proper slushie cup you'd get.After washing everything, I left the cup in the freezer overnight, so it was definitely frozen enough. You then simply fill the cup up 2/3 of the way with your drink of choice, (we chose a mixed berry juice) and you get squeezing! (see my video)The drink turns into a slushie in about 1 minute or less, depending how firm you want your slushie. My little girl really enjoyed doing it, and loved drinking/scooping her slushie! It will definitely be a hit in the warmer summer months, and you can also put yoghurt in it, with fruit/toppings etc, to make Fro-yo!The only little niggle I had, was washing the slushie cup afterwards was a little bit fiddly, as you have to make sure you clean in all the gaps properly.I'm happy with it overall though, and think it's very giftable, and worth the money!
