This laser works well, BUT. . . it does not have a "through the lens" red dot laser for framing. It uses the fiber laser beam to frame and even at a very low power it can leave marks on materials. This is not a big deal since I mostly fixture things, not just put them on the bed and move them around until they "look right".I use this laser with LightBurn and it all works seamlessly.So, if you are doing mostly one offs, I would recommend a laser that has a better framing capability. That is not a deal breaker for my usage.

It was nice to have a friend that has one, but I engraved 107 Damascus knife blades with a logo, numbers and my logo all in one day.Lightburn matches up flawlessly.JUST REMEMBER TO TAKE OFF THE LENS CAP!!!

The media could not be loaded. It was packed very well. The instructions could be better. Use the one on the Monport website. I had it running that night of getting it. It arrived a day earlier than expected. I haven’t had any issues with it. It has been a very well built unit.

I'd stay away from this company. From personal experience, they are absolute scam artists that use fraudulent, deceptive, and illegal business practices. Of course, there are success stories out there about their machines, they wouldn’t still be in business if there wasn’t. But the problems start to arrive when something goes wrong with your machine—especially under warranty. Good luck trying to get them to honor that warranty in any resemblance of how a reputable company would have. That’s if you can get them to honor anything without them trying to make more money off you or fix things on your own dime. In my case they lied, connived, denied, stalled, refused, and deceived, among other unethical and illegal tactics. Check out their BBB rating, it isn’t an “F” for no reason. I’m currently in the process of filing suit against their fraudulent, deceptive business practices and breach of warranty.I will continue these posts in hope to educate potential customers so they can make a informed decision about buying one of these machine, and until this company changes its ways, for as long as I can.

I bought this fiber laser engraver for our lab project, and so far, it’s been performing well. The setup was straightforward, and it works seamlessly with LightBurn, making it easy to design and adjust settings. The engraving quality is sharp and precise, especially on metal surfaces. The included software is functional, though it takes some time to get familiar with.The working area is decent for small projects, but it might feel a bit limiting if you're working on larger designs. For my project, the engraving speed has been sufficient, but if you need faster processing or more power, I’d recommend going for a higher-wattage version.
