These are very soft
These would be great for oil and acrylic painting. They are very soft and the tips and edges are sharp and don’t seem to be wearing down on sanded paper. They are of limited use with oil pastels, my preferred medium, and soft pastels. They just don’t have the stiffness necessary for moving or applying these mediums.

Not usable for acrylic paints.
These silicone shapers do not move acrylic paints. The tips are too soft to do anything. This was a waste of money. Perhaps they are more useful for watercolors or clay. I would take a hard pass if you are using acrylics.

Easy to handle
Pros: Short handles make them easy to use, Crimping feels sturdy no rust yet after a month of infrequent use, flexible tips only time will tell if they change in elasticity I expect they will but that's brand-agnosticCons: Even a small nick will affect usability for accurate workUses: Carving soft / putty-like materials such as resin-based materials, fewer issues with sticking, can also be used to paint but it won't hold much volume of paint since these are not bristlesOverall: Does what it says within its limits of use

not for clay
these might work great for paint, but i mistakenly bought them for smoothing clay seams. they’re just too soft to push clay around, even at it’s most plastic, fresh out of the bag.

Beautifully made tools.
These are worth the extra money. They feel good in your hand. High quality. Look at the difference between the cheap junk I tried and these beautifully made Barvotti artist's tools. Save yourself the hassle of a return and just get these.

They have a lot of uses
I purchased this set for painting with resin, since resin doesn't stick to silicon. I knew enough to get two, because my husband decided they were perfect for blending pencil and charcoal drawings. They are working great and I can see other applications for tools like these. A similar food safe set for cake painting would be awesome!

The product is as as shown
These simple tools were clearly described on Amazon, & were just what I expected. They have "blades" of proper hardness to do the job of accurately working media when a stump or finger is too crude
