I don’t know Magic well, and wanted a starter set as a surprise for my child bemoaning the fact that just after stocking up on Yugioh, all the kids switched to Magic. With little to go off of, I read reviews and such and chose this one. Kiddo was very pleased, he tells me he’s doing well right out of the gate with just this set, and unlike previous card games I’m not hearing about all the cards he “needs” to play well, and he’s not feeling compelled to cram his Christmas list with tons more. I take that to mean this is a well balanced set (plenty of manna, he says).

I am a 10-year-old kid who has been playing magic for over a year, and this is an awesome deal! It comes with 100 land cards, 125 creature cards, and for booster packs. I got pretty lucky with the booster packs and got a planeswalker (karn, scion of urza), another mythic, and a legendary creature! This is really good for people who are starting to build their own decks and want a powerful deck that can actually win.

This toolkit is great if your just starting magic or want to get a good amount of core set 2019 cards for a good price! This toolkit was kind of underwhelming, because it didn’t really give you enough to make a kick butt deck just off of the pre-set cards they gave you! Another disappointment was the boosters, I feel like they should take look at which booster packs get put in of which set. Me and many others I know all got the same amount of booster packs from the same sets; 1 Core Set 2019, 1 Dominaria, 2 Ixalan. I wasn’t interested at all in Ixalan when I bought this, I feel like they should dial it back a bit and give players a chance to get cards from sets that are relatively new, i.e. Core Set 2019, and Dominaria. All-in-all this tool kit could’ve been better! Many cards you get are very tribal oriented. And if you pull bad cards in your booster packs it can put you in a really bad position when it comes to building decks. But again, still a good investment!

I built my own deck using the white and black cards and it was killer against my friends. This is a must buy for those players that are just starting out, i would pick up a deck before you buy this set, Just so you can find your strengths and weaknesses with that deck and incorporate some of the cards from the toolkit into that previously owned deck to make some combos and finishing moves

I've been collecting magic cards for a while now, but couldn't get enough lands to actually make a deck. This product helped me with that! There are a ton of great cards for beginners like me and the box is super useful for safely storing all of my cards!

Deck box came sealed but pretty beat up making the first 10 or lands cards from the land pack pretty scuffed up on the bottom left side. Didnt wanna risk ruining more cards by storing them in it so i threw it out. Did get carnage tyrant out of the ixalan booster pack tho which is why i gave it 3 starts instead of 2.

This was a gift for my son. He says there are a lot of lands to make a lot of decks with. There were two legendary cards. He's very happy with these. I liked the price.

Dies ist bereits die dritte Deckbaubox, die ich gekauft habe. Ich habe sie für einen Freund als Geschenk gekauft und wir sind beide überzeugt von dem Produkt. Die Deckbaubox richtet sich ganz klar an Anfänger, man bekommt genug Länder und Spielkarten plus 4 Booster um sich 2-3 eigene Decks zu bauen, noch dazu kann man die Karten gut in der Box aufbewahren. Die Karten sind sicherlich nicht die stärksten und sind eher für das Hobbyspielen mit Freunden geeignet, sind jedoch meiner Meinung nach besser als z.B. die Planeswalkerdecks, da man hier selber tüfteln kann und daher einen runderen Einstieg in die Welt von Magic bekommt. Die Deckbaubox ist ein guter Beginn für eine Sammlung an Magickarten. Möchte man dann später auf einem höheren Niveau spielen, kann man seine Deckbaubox entweder mit Boostern oder Einzelkarten gezielt aufstocken. Für den Preis ein wirklich gutes Angebot.
