Incredibly Tough EDC Flashlight!
I never leave reviews, but felt the need to for this flashlight. I have used this flashlight almost everyday since I purchased it at the end of July 2024. The reason for my review is that in August of 2024, after a long day of yard work, I needed to check a plumbing issue under my house. Down through the crawl space I went and onto the dirt. Snaking my way under the house was not an easy task with small masses of spider webs covering my path and a couple vintage mouse traps, which, by accident I found to still be in good working order. Even though they were only mouse traps, I still should have worn gloves.I shimmied along on my back, using the A3 Gen 4 flashlight to light my way. Looking up to find the plumbing issue, the fine dirt turned to mud on my sweaty clothes and dirt found its way between my jeans and my backside, creating a fine mud under my shirt and shorts. The flashlight worked perfectly. The plumbing issue fixed, and off to the shower I went. My clothes were so dirty I threw them into the wash and set the machine to the deep clean cycle with an extra rinse. After an hour of washing, into the dryer the clothes went. Straightening up my tools in the evening I could not find my A3 flashlight. I looked everywhere. Well almost everywhere, the dog had issues with me going through his bedding and food bowl. The last place I looked was the pocket of my pants as I pulled them out of the dryer. Eureka! The flashlight had been in the washer for an hour and then through the dryer for almost as long. Having experience with personal electronics which have had to endure swimming lessons, I knew just what to do. I turned it on. Worked perfectly! But, this is not the reason for my review. A few days ago I was working on a car issue in the evening and was using the A3 flashlight once again, and lost said flashlight once again. Three days later, I was running a load of laundry. I threw the clothes into the dryer and heard a sound no one wants to hear. It sounded like a half inch lag bolt was tumbling in the dryer with the clothes. Knowing it wasn't a lag bolt, as I hadn't used any of those in a few weeks, I logically knew what it was. Yep, Eureka! I found my A3, drenched, on the bottom of the dryer. Once again, based on my experience with water logged, personal electronics, I switched it on and ran it through its paces. Worked perfectly!I opened the cover of the charging port and did my best to blow out any water in that area. I considered letting it go through the dryer again, but didn't want to hear that ruckus as it was nearing bedtime and the banging around had caused the dog to howl. Letting it dry out for a few days I am happy to say that this tough, little bugger of a flashlight is working perfectly. So this is the reason for my review. This flashlight is tough! Twice I thought I would have to replace it, and twice I was happily wrong.

MAO Finish - Pretty, But Easily Scratched.
*Edit - I almost forgot to mention! If you want to put on the clip without scratching it, get a plastic grogery bag from like Walmart or something and then rip off the handles. Cover the light in the thin plastic and quickly clip it on. As soon as the clip it on, try to wedge your finger nail between the open side of the clip and the light to take out the bits of plastic that got trapped. You should be able to get all of it out fairly easily*I bought this little light after browsing through keychain lights for several days on end. I was really considering the Nitecore Tini 3 because I've heard some good things about the Tini 2 but the reviews were under 4.5 and that's personally not good enough for me. Checked it out and I changed my mind last minute due to the lack of reviews and information. Came over to RovyVon in hopes of finding something that didn't have that cheap looking plastic body when I finally came across this A3. Beautiful. Very compact, very lightweight, and very powerful. This is probably the best feeling hat-light I've had so far because not only is it super light but the clip is also strong without feeling like it's going to ruin my brim.I'm a little disappointed in the beam tint. The reflector looked like it was a nice warm gold color but when I turned on the light it was more of a neutral white. Maybe around 5700k? The beam itself is awesome and I was surprised at how far it was reaching, but of course the light does step down fairly quickly at higher levels. My favorite part has to be the way the magnets easily work without having to be all that strong due to it's weight.I wouldn't use this on an actual keychain due to the material! suggest keeping it in your coin pocket or having it tucked away on a bag or somewhere it won't rub or bump against anything. If you don't care about scratches then I guess you can do whatever but I would at least suggest getting a different finnish so that it won't show as badly

BRIGHT and Well made.
Came to me nearly dead, but not completely flat. Charged up to full in about 40 minutes on a 2 amp USB-C charger and has been holding a charge well ever since. This little light seems expensive but it's got the quality to back up the price IMHO. It's also stupidly bright, almost excessively so given how tiny it is. You can see every keyhole on your block with this thing. The little clip magnet is decently strong too and loves to stick to my little knife and keys on my key ring. Would prove handy for doing side of the road repairs since you can stick it to things.

Super Bright, Super Small, and Even Better with a Custom Shell
This RovyVon A3 Gen 4 is a seriously impressive flashlight. It’s insanely bright for the size, has a great battery, and the USB-C charging is super convenient. It’s tiny enough to carry on a keychain but still packs a serious punch.I was a little disappointed that red isn’t offered as a color, and the stock body scratches more easily than I expected.BUT I ended up finding a custom shell on Etsy (just search “Custom RovyVon A3 Gen 4 Shell Tactical”) that totally fixed those issues. Better grip, more durable, and I finally got the red color I wanted. That said, even without the shell, this flashlight is top-tier. Great design, great performance — highly recommend.
