I make a lot of YouTube videos featuring PC screen capture footage of CAD work and coding. I can do many things with PC software such as OBS, but I find there are often tricky screen interactions with some of the programs I use. This captures everything without regard to what’s running. Overall, this item works, and gets the job done. The construction seems a bit flimsy, but given the inexpensive price, I guess that's to be expected.Set-up (for my system) was fairly straightforward, but "your mileage may vary" depending upon your exact hardware configuration. Image quality was decent.This is very much NOT a high-quality, professional unit, but for the price, it does a decent job.

Performs as advertised, but the hardware is not built very well. USB was bending since day 1, and the solder connection broke by day 4 rendering it inoperative.

This is a very handy item, and worked well with several different sources. While the USB3 speed does limit it a bit for recording bandwidth, the simple convenience of just plugging it into a USB3 port and HDMI cable and recording video is hard to beat.It immediately found a home in my laptop bag, it is the perfect item to keep with your laptop to be able to record videos from other computers or camcorders and similar items.
