My daughter who is eight years old thinks this book is really fun to read.She paticularly likes the ending when the pie was about to be eaten by the 'enemy'. She actually asked me to look up Enemy Pie on Amazon.

lovely story, took a while to arrive

'Enemy Pie' is a book which is ideal for children in kindergarten. Not only is it funny, it teaches a lesson about trying to get along with other children. Since we may not like everyone we meet in life, it is helpful to learn strategies to deal with this early. The wise father in 'Enemy Pie' actually does bake a pie while his son spends the day with the 'enemy', but in the end the three of them sit down together and eat the delicious pie (as friends). I couldn't recommend this book more highly. (It might be useful for some adults too.)

Amazing storyline! I read this book to my grade 2’s every year! It helps promote problem solving and relationship building. You can also do other fun literacy activities with it such a how to writing (how to make an enemy pie). The book itself was good quality and has remained in good shape throughout the years in my classroom.

Encantador libro en inglés. Una historia muy profunda, con una buena moraleja. Trabaja las emociones y relaciones entre personas. Se lee muy a gusto. Disfruté mucho de las ilustraciones. Lo recomiendo al 100%!

ある日近所に嫌な奴が引っ越してきた。 あいつを追っ払うにはEnemy Pieを食べさせてやるんだ！ パパが秘伝のEnemy Pieを作ってくれる。 でもその代わり奴と一日仲良く遊ばなくちゃならない。 遊んでいるうちに結構良い奴だってことがわかってくる。 僕の大事な友達にEnemy Pieなんて食べさせられない！ だってどんなにまずいパイかわかったもんじゃない！ Enemy Pieは友達になる秘策。 友達を大事にする年頃の子どもにぜひ読んであげたい一冊です。
