Welcome to Malfoy Manor!
Having recently revisited the Harry Potter movies, I was so happy to see Malfoy Manor released. It's an iconic building in the movies and Lego has done a good job in recreating this. This set includes 9 minfigures; Draco Malfoy, Harry Potter, Hermione, Narcissa Malfoy, Bellatrix, Lucius Malfoy, Luna Lovegood, Dobby and the big bad himself: Voldemort. There's also a Nagini figure too! This is a fantastic collection of sought after characters in one set, allowing you to really recreate some good vs evil battles. A constant disappointment with recent Lego sets is so many minifigures look bland. Most of the figures have no printing on their trousers or arms and it makes them look a little less special and more generic. Arguably, it may be authentic to their outfits from the movies. The build is great fun especially as details in each room start to come together. It's not too repetive and seeing the house take shape and get bigger is really enjoyable. The set is split into 3 separate parts: a standalone front gate section, some statues and then the manor itself. The manor really looks the part and is a good sized build, with good proportions. It casts an imposing figure but has a slightly more colourful tone than it's movie counterpart. It's also missing some of the towers, but the general shape is good enough. There's lots of menacing snake elements highlighting the Malfoy family's Slytherin heritage. It's important to note that the manor is essentially just a facade with no real depth. On the other side of the impressive face, is a "thin" interior. There's some rooms with barely enough room for play, but enough to pay lip service to memorable scenes from the movies. ie: there's a basement (with a spider and prison door), a bedroom with just a bed in it, a room with a chair, an organ room, a toilet and a kitchen. In the middle of the house, taking up the most space is a dining room. This has a removable dining table, revealing a snake themed floor and also giving the characters some play space. There's a chandelier on top which can be dropped, recreating the scene in the movie where it was dropped on Bellatrix. On either side of the dining room there is a flight of stairs, and these can be rotated. I like this as it does give the interior some more depth. All in all, the designers have done a good job packing so much into so little space. The RRP on this set is £129.99. Based on the price, the piece count, the number of minifigures and playability, I think this is good value. The set really does look quite large and grand once built. I think fans who have been waiting for a Malfoy Manor set will be happy with this. Whilst it is not as big as it could have been, I think it's been designed very well to incorporate key elements at a price point making it more accessible to fans. I wish they had included Ron in the set and made the minifigures a bit more detailed. Aside from this, it's a set I imagine will make a lot of fans very happy!

Very cleverly designed
Great Lego set and well designed with detail,Also comes with excellent instructions as it’s packed in small plastic bags and simplified with instructions so you can build in a sequence that makes it easy to put together ,it says 10 years and over for age limit in the box but my 8 year old loves to be a part of building it ,the Lego box comes in another box so it’s delivered well protected .There are 9 mini figures as well and I would say you get loads value for money too.It is a very enjoyable build.Would give this 5 🌟 rating

Great Harry Potter LEGO set
The LEGO Harry Potter Malfoy Manor Set arrived in a retail box inside the outer carton.I got it for my son who loves both LEGO and everything Harry Potter. He absolutely loves it, and while he hasn’t had time to completely finish building it yet but was extremely pleased when it arrived. As with all Lego sets, this a really high quality product with excellent packaging and instructions. Anything less than 5/5 would be unfair.

Harry Potter Magic!
There's plenty in this build to keep Harry Potter fans happy. The set says ages 10 and up, but younger kids can also do this with a bit of help - or you can do as I did and enjoy the build yourself and then give it to the kids to play with! There are 1601 pieces with a build time of just over 4 hours, and I didn't rush and did it over a couple of evenings. I found it a straightforward build, although there is a lot to do, which is great. I like to use the App but the paper instructions are also really good. I really like the size and shape of this set, it's well organized which makes it easy to keep tidy, but there are still so many details and things to do with the set that it keeps kids occupied for hours. The design is exactly what I would expect for a Lego version of Malfoy manner, and it looks good. There are 9 mini figures (Harry, Hermione, Luna, Dobby, Draco, Lucius, Narcissa, Bellatrix and Voldemort), plus Nagini the snake. This is a good amount as it really helps kids make lots of different storylines and recreate some of their favourite scenes from the books and films. We've already seen Harry escape from the cellar and the Malfoys wandering around the house. I love the falling chandelier, this is a good feature. It is compatible with other sets, but to be honest there really is a lot to do here even as a standalone. It's a fun build and there is plenty to do once it's done. Highly recommended for Harry Potter fans!

Absolutely amazing, great detail and quality. Love it.
Where do I start. This just amazing. The amount of detail that is in this set is unbelievable, especially the characters. Lego has come a long way since I last played with it! I did start it with the grandkids present because they all love Harry Potter. With hindsight this was a bad idea. They took the figures and started playing with them. The set itself is easy enough to follow with instructions, especially with different bags but because of the size of it, it does need a bit of concentration and not watching them at the same time! Some people may think this is expensive at just under £130, but I have to say Lego is not cheap, my son collects the Starwars Lego, so I know how much they cost. This is a good quality product, and you get a lot with this Malfoy Manor set. I think it is well worth the money. I’m like a big kid with this and cannot wait to complete it. I would say if you are a Harry Potter fan you will not be disappointed with this set.
