I have multiple black nightgowns like this from Amazon and this is the softest and highest quality. Pay the few extra bucks for bamboo.. it’s worth it.

Cool and comfortable. I really like sleeping in the bamboo. It stays cool and is very light weight and moves easily when sleeping.

I’m a nightgown fanatic and GYS has become a favorite brand. This gown is very soft, comfortable, and loose in the right places. I’m 5’5” 34D, size 6 and the SMALL fits great... with room to spare in the belly area should I overeat at dinner and not be embarrassed by wearing a gown that clings to an evening poochy belly (as opposed to flatter AM belly).... you know it makes a difference if it fits great when you try it on in the AM, but you’re saying “Ahh crap!” when you put it on in the evening and you’re hoping he’s not looking. LOL! It skims over the breasts nicely (nipples protrude, giving it an innocently sexy look) without looking like it’s snug or too tight because the armholes are big.. so it appears looser... thereby giving it a SEXY, almost slouchy oversized look, yet the shoulders are slightly cut in... not so much as to be racer back, but just enough to bare the shoulders and give it a slight sexy look by making you appear wider at the shoulders - in my case I appear more balanced, more hourglass aven though it’s loose fitting and straight from the rib cage down. It falls just above my knees. This review is written AFTER washing a few times - I usually hang my bamboo gowns to dry, but I did put this in the dryer once since it fit on the larger size. Mine is the soft pink, and I’m about to order it in black & navy. I just wish it came in more shades - would love a red, a soft baby blue, a dark amethyst, a dark emerald green and more.My guess is the model is wearing size Small, but about a size 2 and probably 5’3”... if that helps with how it fits.

This nightgown is incredibly soft and comfortable! I got the navy and it’s a rich deep color. I’m 5’5” 110lbs and the small fits nicely. It washes easily. What I like about it is that I feel comfortable wearing it while I get my morning started, and if someone knocks on my door, I don’t look like I’m walking around in my underwear. You could get away with wearing this as a casual dress on a summer’s day. I took one star off for the arm holes—they’re low cut and definitely show some side boob. I wear a soft little bra underneath so I can walk around the house in it without worrying about a Janet Jackson nip slip haha. If the arm holes were a little more modest, I’d buy this in every color! I’ll probably get another nonetheless.

I already have two of these in black and when I saw the wine color and it was in my size, I jumped at the chance.If you've ever had trouble sleeping because you are overheating or because your nightwear is trying to strangle you, this gown is exactly what you need.It is soft without being tissue thin, has awesome drape and seems to disappear from your tactile sense when you are wearing it; almost feels like it's not there at all, but in a GOOD way.It moves with you as you change positions throughout the night and you'll sleep better because you won't have to come at least half awake to throw off the covers, then again in a little while to pull them back on.Bamboo is called thermal regulating, but I think of it as temperature neutral; it's naturally cool to the touch and it doesn't collect your body heat and hold it right up against you, as does cotton.This gown is 95% bamboo and 5% Spandex. The Spandex gives it a bit more body and drape and of course, makes it stretchy, in case you like your gowns to fit like a skin; I personally don't, but that's me. Beware of items sold as bamboo viscose that are more cotton and polyester than they are bamboo; not the same feel AT ALL. Cotton actually does not breathe that well and polyester?; well, might as well wear a trash bag. Bamboo is superior in every way to any other fabric I've worn.To keep your bamboo items looking and feeling new, wash in warm or tepid water (NOT HOT), don't bleach them and PLEASE don't put them in the dryer; air-frying them ruins their shape and dramatically shortens their life. Hang the newly washed garment from a wooden, bamboo or padded hanger and let it dry on its own; it really doesn't take that long and you can be doing something else while it's drying. For panties and socks made from bamboo, place them on a bamboo clothes drying rack and let the room do the rest; they will be like new every time you launder them if you do this.
