First stone I used works okay, it’s handy for how small it is if you are camping.

This is an OK quality, doesn't work as well as some older stones I have that were my fathers and grandfathers, but it gets the job done. It seems a lot softer material than some of my other sharpening stones, not sure if this is by design to be better used with specific metals, or if it is a manufacturing defect. I am not into sharpening enough to know.
