Very durable carafe.

I purchased this holland made coffee pot years ago. I just broke the caraf. I immediately went to OLD FAITHFUL amazon and found another. Received it in only one day. I am so happy. People complain that this coffee maker is pricey,...............so what..... you deserve the absolute best........and this is it

The carafe is thick enough that withstands shatter pretty well, in comparison to other glass carafes.

Nice to have a new carafe after 5 years.

I love the coffee maker that requires this carafe. I am not very happy with the way the handle is attached to the carafe. I have just ordered my third carafe because my spare one broke yesterday. Where the handle is attached to the carafe there is a lip inside and out. This causes water to come out after washing when you turn the carafe right side up (assuming you dry it upside down). I ordered a spare carafe after receiving the coffee maker and carafe because of this design flaw. I wash the carafe by hand every day, and put it in my drying rack upside down. I let my dishes air dry because towels can harbor germs. After several hours of draining, I turn the carafe right side up (at which point water that has pooled in the lip runs down the inside and outside). I place a clean paper towel inside the carafe to absorb the water that drains inside. Then the outside drips dry and by morning the carafe is clean and dry for my newest pot of coffee. This procedure is inconvenient and I hope the issue will be addressed. The glass of the carafe is quite sturdy. My only issue is with the way the handle is attached.

This is my second one I have ordered due to leaking between the rim and glass carafe and now need to order #3.

Appears to be an exact replacement

Our carafe is now 2 years old and has developed the same leak mentioned by many. Adhesive appears to have loosened and leaks when pouring. Very disappointing.
