Im a working guitarist. I play in a 7 piece band with a horn section and use 5 different guitars while on stage with the band. When we arent booked, I stay busy with a 3 piece band, as well as a 4 piece. I play 48 weekends a year and I play over 110 nights a year. I need equipment that is reliable and professional! I bought this Caline P/6 power brick for a new pedal board I was putting together, at home before getting things straight and moving things onto a working board, so it was a cheap way to power my pedals while doing this. I use Mogami cables with Neutrik connectors the length of my system, from my wireless unit reciever, through my pedals, through an A/B/Y into 30ft mogami cables and into two seperate amps, with part of my pedals going through the Effects loops on both amps. So I am running a very long length of cable! However I do use two Buffer pedals and have the Buffers set on all my Boss, TC and any pedal that has a Buffering system built in. So now that you have a picture, there is plenty of room for EMI, Ground Loop, 60 cycle hum and anything else that may cause interference. I was SHOCKED, I had nothing but the buzz from single coil pickups. It was slient.. After getting the final layout finished and attaching all the pedals to the new board, I didnt attach this power supply to the board quiet "yet", although I did use it to power the pedals that it was rated for, 9v 100ma to 300ma. After the first show and no noise, I did attach it. That has been almost 3 years now, and no problems, no buzz, no hum, nothing but the same ole single coil buzz we all deal with from single coil pickups lol. A good friend just couldnt believe this, so he bought one and tore it apart to see if it was truely isolated, after a waisted pedal, he came to the conclusion, while it wasnt completely isolated, it was isolated, and silent enough to where, it is SO worth the price! He ended up buying 3 more to use on his boards lol. Since then, I have bought two more myself. These are fantasntic power supply's at a fantastic price. Even in packed bars, with every kind of neon light and junk power strips powering them, nothing gets to this power brick! I love them! I dont power anything higher than 9v 300ma with this, but I wouldnt have a concern hooking up a 9v 500ma if needed!
