The skirt was a little see-through, but nothing a slip couldn't fit. The arms were a little large, so I just took them in a bit and shortened the sleeves. I lost count of how many people thought this costume was authentic. Everyone asked if the uniform was a family member's, if I had actually been in the military, or what military store I had purchased it from. I didn't even take off the fake medals and replace them with real ones (like another reviewer recommended). The medals are definitely fake looking, but apparently the rest of the costume looks real enough to where people overlook it! I highly recommend this costume. Review: Fit this tall girl! - I was pleasantly please with this costume. I needed it for a 1940's fund raiser which is going to be held on Armed Services Day so I figured it was perfect. The material is a little thin and you will probably need a slip under the skirt. Instead of the bib that came with the costume, I will wear a white short sleeved shirt under the jacket. I ordered an adjustable criss-cross bowtie in the same color to complete this outfit. As far as size goes: I am 5'10" and 145 pounds. I usually wear a size medium top and size 10 pants/dresses. The jacket was a perfect fit and the sleeves were actually long enough! I did have to have the skirt taken in a little for a better fit. There is a side zipper and an elastic waist band in the back of the skirt for someone who might have a thicker waist. Hat is somewhat smaller, only because I have a big head =-) But, I wore it for a Halloween party and I went as Agent Carter from the Marvel Comics. Everyone loved it!!! I had previously gone to the casino for a Halloween party as well. I wore a Captain America pin on my lapel as well as her SSR pin.
