How to remove compact fluorescent bulbs.
At first I could not determine which accessory could be used to remove compact fluorescent (spiral) bulbs. Neither of the three finger type accessories worked.I was able to remove that type bulb by wedging the rubber tip of the small bulb changer between the fluorescent tube spiral openings and carefully rotating and removing the bulbs.I don’t think the kit designer intended that small bulb changer to be used in that fashion, but it works. The smaller finger type attachment worked great for installing LED and incandescent bulbs.

Should come with a case. Buy a $5 plastic bin or zipper case when you purchase this.
Amazon VineThe shipping was a simple cardboard box. Once opened it was difficult to get everything back in so I will need to order a plastic bin to hold the kit together.I found Setup to be not too bad. I will keep the instructions in case. I don't like products where I need to hang on to the instructions to operate it. I think I will be fine, but I ordered this for our building because we have 12ft ceilings and everyone is constantly asking to borrow my ladder rather than get their own.It is made of thin metal (maybe nickle? or aluminum) and plastic. For the cost it is exactly what I needed. Something that works but is not so high quality I will be pissed when neighbor breaks it.The style and design are the same as the ones I have seen in the store.PROsLightweight with several attachmentsCONsDoes not come with a case to keep all the parts together.I rate this a 4.75/51 Shipping1 Setup.75 Materials/Durability1 Cost1 Style/Design

Works great for my needs, but could see difficulties in some situations
This is great for the cost listed at the time of my review, but won't be best for everyone. My bulbs are at most about 15' up and those are straight on, no tilting. This is easy to use and I like that I can adjust the length of the pole that I need for the job, as my ceiling lights vary in height around the house. I am also tall, 6'5", so I already have an advantage over other people with not needing as long of a pole. I like that the multiple attachments cover almost any size and scenario of bulb. Recommended.

Not effective at changing can floodlights
I have multiple can lights in my 17’ ceiling. They seem to last about two years then it’s a big production to get the extension ladder into the living room and set up securely and it always makes my wife nervous to have me up there - I think her fear of my being at height is far worse than mine of actually being there.Anyway, I had two burned out and saw the opportunity to try this out. It’s a pretty tight fit between the bulb and the fixture, and it was difficult to get a grip on it. I tried the suction attachment, which kind of worked, but it didn’t stick on very well, and I couldn’t get it all the way off. (I was afraid it would fall if I did anyway.) as it was now part way out, I managed to get the medium basket attachment most of the way on it, which also didn’t succeed in removing the bulb, and got stuck on it. I actually managed to mess up the shade that directs the light trying to get it off. I had to get out the ladder after all. In an effort to give it a fair shot I tried again on the second bulb. I gave up before getting anything stuck or broken, since I had the ladder out already.Anyway, the pole is nice and long and was able to reach the ceiling. Since it screws together, that does put a limit on the torque you are able to apply in a counterclockwise direction, which would only be a limiting factor if you get it stuck like I did. The suction cup is a good idea, but would work better with a better suction cup. The basket is also a good idea, but would work better if it were paired with a suction cup inside the basket. The attachments screw on with a standard thread. (If there were threads at the bottom of the pole too that would allow it to be extended further with a broom handle or even a second pole of this type for even longer reach.) This also means the attachments should work on a shorter pole, which is how I would use it if I wanted to change lightbulbs that were more easily in reach.Even though it proven ineffective for what I wanted to do with it, I still give it 2 stars instead of one because it would still likely be useful to change an exposed bare bulb, and seems like a good idea.

Handy, easy to use, and does the job!
This is such a great alternative to bringing out the ladder to change a bulb! With the newer LED bulbs, we don't have to change them as often, but when you do, this is handy and does a great job. Construction seems solid, and have had no issues in my use thusfar.

A Must-Have Tool for Hard-to-Reach Bulbs—Perfect for Independen
I got this light bulb changer for my 75-year-old mom, and it has made a huge difference for her! With high ceilings in her home, changing bulbs was always a hassle, and climbing ladders or asking others to come help just wasn’t practical. This tool is the perfect solution—its 12-foot reach makes it easy for her to handle those high-up bulbs with complete confidence and a new level of independence. The design is practical and intuitive, with a secure grip that handles standard and even broken bulbs without slipping. The 5-piece set includes attachments that fit various bulb types, so she doesn’t have to struggle with each individual fixture. It’s lightweight but sturdy, making it easy for her to maneuver, and it collapses for convenient storage when not in use.For anyone with high ceilings, this tool is a game-changer. It’s been fantastic for helping her keep her home well-lit and comfortable without needing extra assistance. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to make bulb changes safer, easier, and more empowering!
