A lot of fun squeeezed into a tiny computer! Everything* you need to to get started with the Raspberry Pi 3 B+, plus a friendly getting started guide. Our getting started guide shows you, in a really friendly and straightforward way, how to get everything set up in a jiffy. You'll learn how to protect your Pi from bumps and bruises in our Pibow case, how to add the heat sink, the microSD card, and the Blinkt! rainbow light. Learn how to code your twinkly Blinkt! using Python, and even make a (SQUEE!) rainbow animation with it. We'll also show you how to boot up your Pi for the first time, connect to WiFi, browse the web, play Minecraft (!!), even how to use the terminal. After you've installed our Blinkt! software (it's super simple) you'll learn how to code it with Python. There's a sheet of 11 fun and colourful (and peel-able off-able) stickers to personalise your Pibow case, and even a name sticker. Awesome starter kit.
I got this so I could plug and play right out of the box and it doesn't disappoint. The handy guide that comes with it allows you to tinker with and programme a set of LED lights with some really clear instructions - I've never touched any sort of coding before and wondered if at 30 it was just too late! But this kit is fun to play around with and has already got me thinking of different ways to use it. If you're more confident with how to download the operating system and start from scratch, this may be a little on the pricey side compared to buying all the parts separately but if, like me, you're a little impatient and keen to get cracking right away it's a great little set to get you started in a way that is accessible so you don't lose interest. I think it's worth paying the extra for that. Go for the 3 B+ if you get the choice, Bluetooth and wireless all built in - amazing for such a 'simple' bit of kit.
