Gun Cleaning Mat, Large Anti-Slip Rubber Gun Mat 36" x 12", Magnetic Cleaning Pad with Integrated Component Box

This works pretty well. It’s better than those foam style pads that have the fabric on the top that absorb a lot of the chemicals and stay in the pad. I like this because I can lay it on my coffee table or on my workbench out in the garage and retain all the oils in debris to then just wipe it off easily. It cleans up very well and captures anything from spilling. It’s a solid cleaning mat for sure.

The size of the cleaning pad is great to clean both long and short guns. I really like the magnetic feature on the side where I can store small screw and pins so I don't lose them during the cleaning process. The cleaning pad is also really easy to clean when alcohol wipes.

So, first off, I appreciate the included storage tube. This thing would be a bit difficult to store without it. That said, it doesn't unroll cleanly. I'm sure given some time that it would flatten out, but it was kinda warped when initially laid out. The included brushes are nice, but of just ok quality. The compartment is of questionable necessity, but nothing to complain about. The magnetic pads are very welcome. I can't say how many times I've been working on a gun and had a half dozen small pieces that try to fall off the table. This mat is just short enough that you really couldn't use it on a rifle, but it's perfect for any length pistol and it'll do a great job of protecting the finish of the gun.

Long enough for my rifle parts and doesn't slide on the table. The magnetic areas help keep small parts from walking away. Great mat for cleaning and seems very durable.

Very nice size mat for cleaning your rifles or shotguns. A longer gun might be 40" or longer and the barrel would extend beyond the mat. However, the mechanism and parts needing cleaning would be over the 'work" area of the mat, and the stock would be protected by the soft rubber mat.The mat is a soft enough rubber that will lay flat even though it was rolled up tight. It has several features that I think are important in a cleaning mat: multiple compartment trays for parts, and a magnetic pad to assure smaller items don't get lost. And, the surface is easy to wipe clean of gun oil or CLP cleaner.The accessory tray with the magnetic closing lid (says BOOSTEADY on the lid in the Amazon photos) on the right side of the mat is not so useful, since I need my whole kit of cleaning supplies, solvents, CLP, patches, snakes, etc. But, it does keep a soft brush and a couple patches ready.

This is a great project mat made of a thick rubber that is long enough to be used with guns of many lengths, with plenty of places to put components. This has a magnetic closure that includes three brushes of varying coarseness. This also has some magnetic pads that can be used to hold small parts that tend to go for a walk and never return. Gun cleaning usually requires some harsh chemicals and this mat is up to the task. This is titled as a gun mat and rightly so but, it can be used for other projects as well. This comes rolled and with a tube for compact storage. I'd recommend if you've got similar projects, this is great to roll up and go.

Overall a good cleaning mat. Size is good enough for pistols and standard length AR/AK rifles. If you’re primarily doing long guns it’ll work but think a longer version would be better. Good material as it’s both non slip and easy cleanup. I like that there are individual areas for separating gun parts or cleaning components. Each area being recessed is nice as it will contain the inevitable oil or solvent spill. I especially like the magnetized pads to help keep track of some of the smaller items. Included brushes are nice, with pretty consistent bristle length and flex.

This anti-slip mat is a great addition to my gun/rifle maintenance. Whether you have the space in your work area or just easily can use on your dining room table. The mat is thick enough to not scratch up your table and will contain all the chemicals/liquids you get on it. I like the organization options with it including the compartments with a lid and magnetic sections for loose screws, etc. Easy to roll up whenever you are done. Would definitely suggest to family and friends.
