These flameless candles look really cool. The remote can be used with these candles clumped together in one touch. Spread all over a room, the remote works to effect each candle individually. The jumping flame effect is enhanced by the design of the holders, that make the jumping more dramatic and realistic. They can also be set, with the remote, to a steady flame. Which is nice, as the flickering jumping flame can be a little too dramatic in some situations. The remote also controls the brightness of the flames, though I found the differences in brightness are minuscule. These have the coolest effects that I've seen in flameless candles. The one negative for me is that they are not rechargeable, in an age where 99% of items like this are rechargable. But the two aa batteries in each are sure to last a very long time drawing the small amount of power that the "flames" use.

I kind of don't like fake candles because they looks so.... fake. I remember Anthony Bourdain did a thing where he said to get up and leave if the restaurant has fake candles, and it really really stuck with me (clearly).Anyway, I took a chance on these because I like the muted gray outside. I also really liked that the gray exterior covered the most offensive part of the "candle" - the fake burning wick. I'm pleased to report to you, dear reader, that I was correct in all my assumptions. The "flame" is sufficiently covered to give the illusion of a real candle.I knocked off a star because I was shocked to find the candles are actually all plastic. The inside of the plastic is ribbed, which kind of distorts the "flame" when lit (I like it - it makes it look less fake).he set also comes with my favorite thing ever - a tiny remote. The remote lets you set a timer, dim the "flame", AND! set it to be a "candle" (a flickering light), or a light (a soft, unflickering glow).These are going to be gorgeous inside my broken fireplace for the holidays. Might mess around and buy another set (and another dozen or so AA batteries).

We have an older traditional brick fireplace that doesn’t get used, but we still want to do *something* with it, and these candles solve that problem.They’re super easy to use! Just switch them on whenever you want to use the candles. Since they come in varying heights, they look incredible in a dark fireplace.These candles work great, look good, and so worth the price.

You should always take the description of "realistic" with a grain of salt when these companies include that in the product listing. In this case, it's acceptable. It has realistic flickering and really does mimic an actual candle. These look really nice and sets the mood for any room you place them in. I just hope I don't lose this remote!

I really like this light set, it's battery run and remote controlled. It really adds ambiance and mood to a room. Each faux candle requires two (2) double A batteries. The battery for the remote is included.

these are really great candles and i would’ve given a 5 but one candle never turned on even with multiple battery attempts and one has a crack down the side. They are great candles though and have tons of options including a timer and remote which is super nice. i love the “flame” look, very realistic compared to other plain led candles
