I have yet to use better minimalistic cases than the Latercase or the Pitaka ones. Both brands have very similar quality, made of the best quality aramid/kevlar fiber. As thin, light, resistant, and high quality as the material can bed, both brands/cases. The Latercase takes a slight lead when it comes to resistance and protection, in my opinion. It feels thicker, and the way it encloses the camera well provides an extra peace of mind for those looking for a case that will save your phone while not weighing it down and turning it into a brick. On the other hand, the Pitaka comes with better compatibility with MagSafe, having magnetic rings built-in to the case, whereas the Latercase requires you to buy and extra ring that comes with an adhesive on one side, to be permanently attached to the case, and that provides the metal needed properly align the phone as well as more firmly secure the phone to the MagSafe charger. The ring, purchased separately, is well worth the investment to bring the Latercase to the same level of performance when using MagSafe to charge your phone. It does work without the ring, since it is thin enough not to reduce the magnetic grip too much, but if you plan on using it in a moving car, I strongly suggest investing the money and buying the ring. The Pitaka has the edge in this aspect, having the metallic ring already as an integral and seamless part of the case. Both cases are superb in terms of grip, and exquisite to the touch and feel.Now, if you need more serious levels of protection, neither case are designed to provide 100% of protection. They are meant to protect without intruding; To add without removing to the quality of the iPhone. Minor drops from 2 to 3 feet should cause no damage. But if you constantly drop your phone and need better protection, you are better off with the bulkier cases made of rubber, such as the original Apple cases. From my perspective, there is no point in buying a device as well designed as the iPhone simply to wrap it in several millimeters of rubber. But I guess, to each their own.

This case is extremely light. Doesn’t feel like you have a case. I was surprised that this case is “comparable with a MagSafe.” This case doesn’t fully covers the screen. So make sure you have a screen protector, it’s a MUST.

Excellent thin case, my second one as bought again for a new phone. Slim, nice to hold onto and offers excellent protection against drops, even though so thin...love it!

This case isn’t cheap, but I tried lower quality thin cases from ESR and Torres and they don’t even come close to the premium feel and low profile this case offers. It is nicer to touch than even a caseless iPhone and prevents from dings and scratches which is all I am worried about. The only negative is, it doesnt stick to MagSafe as well as I would have hoped considering it’s such a thin cases. As a result a couple of times, I’ve knocked my phone off my MagSafe dock a few times and it cracked my screen protector from the last fall. I know they sell magnetic rings I can stick on the case, but I feel it will degrade the feel of the case.

This makes me wonder why I've been seeking out mag safe covers....with this case on my phone strongly sticks to my magnetic car mount and two magnetic wireless chargers. Since this is due to the magnets built in to the iPhone 16 pro and that is the phone this case is built for, I wouldn't worry too much about the lack of mag safe? Just my experience.I love the look and feel of this case, great color, texture, and feel.I only took off one star because I would like just a little more actual protection if I'm paying $60 for a case. While this one will protect the phone cosmetically, I wouldn't dare to test a 4 ft. drop onto my garage floor or anything.Overall, if you're not too accident prone, don't work in a construction zone, and like the look of it online, I would 100% recommend.

It’s really unreal that this case is so light, it’s truly molded perfectly, and it fits the phone like a glove. You truly forget that it’s is on the phone as if it is part of the phone. This is how a case should be made!

This Latercase iPhone 16 Pro Case is made from thin Aramid fiber with a nonslip matte finish that is precision laser cut and offers good camera lens protection. It is very thin, and as others have pointed out, it may not be the level of protection you want or need. I think it is more to protect the finish of the phone from nicks and scratches and not that 4 or 5 foot drop to the concrete sidewalk. It does have large cutouts for the buttons and at the top and bottom of the case, which does leave areas exposed to potential damage in a drop. The camera lenses do get a fair amount of protection from the case. The MagSafe adhesion suffers a bit, the addition of a magnetic ring (additional cost) would solve this.This is not the case for those needing serious levels of protection because of constantly dropping your phone, you need to look elsewhere. This case is for those looking for a less intrusive case, very thin, but still provides better grip then the slick surfaces of the iPhone. The matte finish doesn’t show finger prints as much but they still show up. The “Kevlar fiber” look is cool and these fibers are known for their incredible tensile strength with enhanced structural properties. For the price, this case should have included the magnetic ring to ensure good MagSafe adhesion.

Day1 review: fits snug and dimensions are precise for the iPhone 16 pro. I bought the blue case and it’s exactly what I wanted. The feel is nice and seems to have a nice grip. Not slippery but easy to remove from my pocket.
