I enjoyed learning new info from this book. I love how the author intermingled the inventor and his/her invention with the child who was enjoying its modern use. Images throughout the book were nice. I also like that references were given at the end of the book. The book should be read by children of all cultures - to increase their knowledge of some of the many scientific/high-tech contributions of African-American inventors - contributions /inventions used in the U.S. and beyond.

I loved the updated artwork and added activities of this 2nd edition! Engaging, instructional information to introduce kids and adults to less known Black scientists and inventors. A great gift and solid stocking stuffer.

THIS IS A FANTASTICK BOOK FOR EVERYONE. THIS IS INFORMATIVE AND ENJOYABLE TO READ. ALL OF THE THINGS /INVENTIONS THAT WE WE USE DAILY ARE REFRENCED HERE IN THE BOOK.A PLEASURE TO HAVE IN MY LIBRARY.

Such a great read! Even at an older age, this is so informative for all ages. So much forgotten history, as well as history we didn’t know at all.
