These things are a life saver. The quality is amazing. They fit wonderfully and add hours onto the time I can comfortably where my prosthetics which makes a huge difference for a double amputee!!

This product helps my stupid from getting sores.

I got these for my son to use inside his prostetic leg to protect and prevent skin breakdown (pressure ulcers) from forming on his stump when he wears his prosthesis. I sure was hopeful, but these 1/4 inch thick silicone "wafers" are too thick to be worn in the area where he needs the most protection.The 1/4" thickness creates a height imbalance as he stands and walks. Balance is crucial to safe and comfortable walking for an amputee, so for him this was unbearable. Perhaps it would work well for a person whose prosthetic leg is a bit too short to begin with. But for him it just will not work in the distal cup area where he needs the most protection.He was able to use it in another area along the side where a rough area exists from damage to the material the prothesis is made of.I wish these silicone "liner patches" came in a variety of thicknesses so we could choose a more custom fit based on the person's specific needs.
