I bought this to use as a soft box, but it's not really much use for that purpose, as the diffuser surface is essentially the same size as the light source.The diffuser panel also massively reduces the light output. Lighting my subject without the panel required only 20% brightness, but needed at least 50% with the panel in place.The honeycomb works well enough, but the diffuser panel can't be used without the honeycomb, so it has even more work to do to diffuse the now-highly-directional light.The materials are decent and the manufacturing is good, but if you are buying this to use as a soft box you will be disappointed.I'd like to see Neewer produce another version for the TL120C without the honeycomb, and a diffuser surface at least 4x the current width.

I purchased two of these diffusers kits for my TL60 lights.They are too short for the lights, even though they are designed to go with them. You can force them to fit, but they are not great. However, the grid diffusion does work.I would wait and see if Neewer change the design before I would recommend them to anyone else.

Its like a few cm short, so you can get a snug fit and still have access to the tripod hole and the dmx ports. Can get proper access no matter what you do. What a waste of money, like an afterthought. Cant say what the brightness is like as it wont fit
