I ordered these for my four year old grandson as he loves turning wheels and building things and with these being interchangeable with each other I thought he'd really enjoy them. However the pieces that sit on the top of each wheeled base are really tight fitting and were impossible for him to take apart on his own (even his older siblings aged thirteen and eight struggled). Because he is autistic this was making him very frustrated, although I think it would frustrate any child.However on the plus side and the reason for the four stars is they are very well made, brightly painted and he did enjoy them connecting so he could move them all along in a chain and his eight year old brother was fascinated by how magnets attract and repel each other. I am hoping that with time and repeated removal the top pieces will loosen up and make it easier to swap. Both of the boys enjoyed playing with these and that is what I want out of a toy.

This is a fantastic toy. It feels high quality and is perfect for toddlers who are obsessed with service vehicles... It also comes with a dust bag which is a nice touch. Some of the 'backs' are quite hard to remove so an adult might be required for smaller children.I received this item for free as part of Amazon's Vine programme but I would spend my own money on this item and I do recommend it. It's currently priced at £17.99, which I think is ok although £15 might be more appropriate.

Nice set of wooden magnetic toys which are different from the trains usually found like this. However, they don’t work so well just on the floor as they tend to fall over, especially with the second, top section added. They just seem to be too tall for their width. As vehicles to be added to a wood ‘Brio’ type track, they are much better suited.The main material used is wood although they come packed in a lot of plastic. Why not paper?

I am a big fan of wooden toys, but although these arrived in a cardboard box, each car was then inside a large ziplock bag and I found it disappointing to see so much plastic used. Each vehicle is made up of a wheel section and two pieces on top which you can remove to mix-and-match. The tops are quite hard to pull off and push back on so younger children might need help with this. The wheel section of each has a magnet front and back so you can connect them in convoy, but there is no visual way to differentiate the two ends so it is easy to mistaken put them back together with the polarity reversed so the vehicles no longer face the same way when connected. They move quite smoothly when pushed gently, but are very narrow for their height so do fall over if zoomed across the floor too fast.One of the yellow wheel sections arrived with the paint chipped on all four bottom corners, and after my son played with the rest for half an hour one of the purple wheel bases was chipped too. The paint on the top sections is very glossy and looks thick, but the paint of the wheel sections is more of a satin and clearly isn’t quite as robust.I do like this set but there are a few improvements I would like to see before I can award more than three stars.

The pack has 8 different vehicles in it and comes with a storage bag as well. The magnet is pretty strong as you can see in the picture but for some reason I believe the magnets have been put the other way around as some of them you can be stuck together either facing one another or the other way around

Magnetic carsThis is a lovely idea. The vehicle parts can be pulled apart and mixed together. Great for fine motor skills and strengthening fingers and the mind! They are a bit stiff so concentration is needed from my child which is great. Quality is lovely. All seems secure and decorated nicely.They do pretty much fit on our train tracks to push around by hand. It wouldn't roll as fittings are slightly too small for the track but then it doesn't need to be on a track.This set has 8 wooden vehicles with magnets on both ends so we can make a long train or play individually. Disappointed that each car was sent in its own plastic bag. Could quite easily have been more environmentally friendly and wrapped in tissue paper.4*

Wooden toys are making a comeback and these are an excellent choice for your little one.They are colourful, non-toxic and a teaching aid. It hones motor skills and teaches, colours, shapes and vocabulary.They can be used in several combinations so you're child can make up their own storylines.They are well made with good quality materials and built to last.I think the price is great too.

Simple but well made magnetically linked vehicles. Good for hand eye coordination in those early stages of life.
