Great substitute for screen sharing
What's great about this device is that it's so accessible I am able to use it in my car for rear seat screen. With all screen synced to one player. Everyone enjoys the same show

It doesn't work.
I tried to get this device to work in my 2013 Ford Fusion. No dice. I even bought a 3.5mm to triple RCA male plug to connect to the RCA AV sockets in my car. That didn't work. A waste of money and time. And it's not a problem of not being tech-savvy. I starting using PCs in 1983. I've had a smart home since 2007 with Z-wave and then Samsung Smarthome and Amazon Alexa. I'd advise you not to waste your money or your time. Unless you have plenty of both.

Cannot Recommend
Well I had high hopes for a $30 device that would mirror my iPhone screen in my car (2014 QX80). And these hopes were in fact too high. For starters the set up process is heinous. After multiple attempts, I was finally able to get it connected. And there isn’t an issue with the instructions. They were quite clear on outlining the steps. It’s the device itself or the software. The mirroring lags and is usually a second or two behind. It also stops mirroring quite frequently. Out of all my attempts the longest it would stay connected was about 10 minutes. There’s also one thing they left out in their description... you see, most vehicles have a feature that does not allow video to be played while the vehicle is moving. I knew this going in, but assumed that the software or hardware might have a built-in workaround. Well we know the old saying of what happens when you assume. Anyway, I can not recommend this one - spend some more $$$ and get something that may require actual installation.

OK fro Home but not a Car
If you want to mirror to your TV works fine. I bought this for my 2013 F150. Hook up is easy, resolution average. Was hoping to use it for Waze or G-maps. as soon as you put the truck in Drive video is off. Seen other items on the web costing $300 and you need to wire directly into the radio which bypasses the issue when you put the truck in drive. My cheaper shortcut didn't work. Ford Sync 2 is useless.

Works good
Very easy to install and connect to. I don't understand the other review that said it was a problem to connect. Works with my radio screen well. Only complaint is it stutters at times so watching is not the greatest but being that I wanted to be able to watch my Google maps on my radio screen it works just fine. Good value for the money.

HDMI did not work on car radio - Pioneer Carrozzeria AVIC RC-09
The device did not work with the HDMI INPUT on Pioneer Carrozzeria RC-09.(Tried it on another Pioneer Radio AVH-Z5150BT which has AV-in, and the video is erratic when playing YouTube)Won't recommend to anyone.
