What is the difference between the old and new version?

The paper is the same, but the covers changed dramatically. The old ones used to be much simpler, just a plastic front and chipboard back cover, and they were separate. Now, they're all one piece, and made of a somewhat inflexible plastic that makes it pretty cumbersome to turn the pages and fold under itself.

What are the best pens (brands or style) to use with this paper?

I'm looking to use this with Micron pens for sermon notes. Will these bleed through or cause a "dragging" feeling when using them on this paper?

I have used fountain pens, gel pens, and regular pens - none of them bleed. The paper sometimes seems like it's "drying up" the ink or something and can make it skip though.

Is the paper heavyweight?

It seems to be heavy - similar to fabric - not easy to tear. But I suppose that’s subjective. It is heavier than the loose leaf paper we used in school - and very smooth for writing. My wife & I think it’s well worth it.
