PanelTech 12"x 8" 40W USB CO2 Laser Engraver Laser Engraving Cutting Machine DIY Engraver Cutter with Movable Wheels and Exhaust Fan

I purchased two of these from the same seller with in a few weeks apart. One for my brother and one for myself. My brothers worked right out of the box. His had green stuff in the tube but it worked. Mine on the other hand was a pain to set up. It stared with water through out the box when I opened it and everything was wet. After set up the water hose leaked from holes. I replaced the hose. The vent tube was crushed and had holes so I replaced that as well. The laser was hitting the top of the first mirror in the back. We had to adjust laser tube to correct it. The bed is no where near being level. I have to put an extra 3 mm board on the right side to level it. The laser head mirror has a big black spot on it. The laser head bracket was crushed where the screws were and was not secure because the holes were too big. It was also bent up so I made a new one. Oh and the lens had a chip fall off when I opened it. On the bright side the electrical works perfect and all the connections were tight. I don't know how one could work perfect and the other be so bad. It still needs lots of work and I probably should return it.Update: I couldn't get the water temp under 21 to 22c so I kept adding ice packs. I noticed the lines getting foggy so I got another thermometer. The temperature was 12c but the machine was reading 21c. Then after a few minutes today I kept losing usb connection. I'm baffled by this one.

Laser arrived without any delay or damage and is working good now but I deducted a star because of two issues. The first is the power supply to the laser was bad so I contacted company and after some video texting we concluded it was power supply and they sent me a power supply. The second issue I discovered while trying to calibrate the mirrors and discovered x,y gantry not square and in further inspection one bolt missing and another without a nut so after squaring gantries calibration was a snap. I knew going in that a lot of tweeting is required for the price so that is why I only took one star away! If you don’t have infinite patients and ability to fix things don’t buy this and complain, it’s super cheap

I have a small wood working and wood turning business. I purchased this machine to personalize the items I sell. There are many mixed Reviews for this machine. My first machine the laser tube started internally arcing. I contacted the company and they was VERY helpful! They shipped out a replacement machine very quickly. This machine has its limitations but for the price this is a great deal!! It engraves very well, small and compact, quick and easy to setup and use. I suggest to upgrade the water pump and exhaust fan. With the excellent customer service I am won over!! Ditch the included software and use Inkscape and k40whisperer!! So I did a bunch of research before taking a shot at a k40. I was prepared to need to align the mirrors and check the tube lenth to be certain its really 40 watts, etc. None of it was necessary. This product came perfectly aligned with a wax type substance covering the heads of the alignments screws so the don't go out of alignment. The book is worthlessless as others have said, but the product worked well right out of the gate. Forget coreldraw and the little USB key. (though its a nice little key, I have it on my keychain now.) Get yourself a YouTube tutorial on Inkscape and K40 whisperer and you'll have everything you need for free! Mine cuts right though 3mm plywood in a single pass with no air assist and a minimal amount of scorching. the laser was packed very well in a large amount of Styrofoam that is very soft. This is a good thing, but be prepared to vacuum up a bunch of little Styrofoam bits.

While the laser is a good product for the money, the instruction manual leaves a lot to be desired. There are a lot of things a person should know before purchasing this laser, epically if you aren't very technical. I would suggest viewing anything you can find on Utube before purchasing this product. I was lucky enough to have a friend who owned one and he helped me out, otherwise I think I would have sent it back.The machine does a good job once you are fully aware on how to modify and operate it, which is why I rated it 4 stars.

Product came wrapped in plastic wrap. Cut Ithaca off and the bag with accessories only had a book in it- other items were loose. When I set up the water pump and unwound the “hoses” there was water and an antifreeze type solution (yellow is, green) in them as well. It also had a small hole in the blue suction tube. When I contacted the seller they told me to take pictures, fluid came out of the hoses when they were unwound, to get to anything I’d already cut off the wrap, the hole is small and the tube was crushed so a picture wasn’t going to happen.

this is a great unit. I pulled it out of the box checked it over and have been using it daily learning how to make things with it.It has worked well right out of the box.
