a nice simple phone for kids
this phone is a neat idea for your kids to have whilst out with their friends or when having a sleep over. is got a very simple operating system almost exactly like most of the kids watches you see on amazon have. there's no app store or anything like that. you only get what's already installed on the phone, such as a torch, calculator , a few games, and some other things like a music player that you can upload some mp3's to if you were invested enough to do so. its hard to say if the price is justified as we've not had a kids phone before. the build quality is probably best described as cheap and cheerful. the phone is pretty lightweight and has a lanyard that was a bit fiddly to fit. on the contacts app you can add some numbers to pre programmed names (dad, mum, grandparents etc.). although you can add and change the numbers you cant change the pre programmed names of the contacts. there is no messaging app for texts. and you need a 2G sim card to be able to make calls. luckily without the sim card you child will not be able to call 999 as it wont work(I've tried, it basically says cannot connect or something like that). there is a camera built in too, but that is very basic and the quality of pictures is about as good/naff as when the first phone cameras became a thing.

Good gift idea for younger kids
Ordered this for my niece, it’s a great little device for young kids, to make them feel more grown up, and it also works as a phone so that’s a bonus. It has a few games and the camera on it, to keep them entertainedIt is plastic key, however it is exactly what you expect as it is still a kid toyShe loved it and was keen to play with it almost all day while I was there. So definitely worth a purchase as a gift.Happy to recommend

Sadly, this thing is completely useless for us.
I got this for our young daughter who is at the age where she's craving a phone to be like everyone else, but she's too young for a proper smart phone.I saw this was available and thought it would be ideal. At first we were quite excited - it has a couple of apps, (calculator, photo album, torch etc), several games and it seemed OK-ish. There is no app store as far as we could see (it's definitely not an Andoid device - I may be wrong about a couple of things because the device stopped working completely before we had a chance to find out), so you're stuck with the apps and games it has. Our daughter played with it and liked it (we didn't have a SIM for it yet), until my wife noticed her dialling the "SOS number" we later discovered this happens if you press the button twice quickly - far far too easy to do accidentally - especially for a 6 year old. We took it away from our daughter until we could get a SIM and explore the settings - maybe we could switch off this "feature".Next day we put the SIM in and the phone began to behave erratically, launching apps and games on its own; switching off; we couldn't get it to behave as a phone. We suspected the SIM and so got another from a different provider. Same issues. Eventually system level text and Chinese characters began to scroll on the screen and it shut down. We have never been able to make it work since.(I took the photos before it popped its fuse.)What we saw of it seemed OK - the games seemed age appropriate, as did the screen graphics and general look and feel. There were the occasional advanced message and question a child would not fully understand. For example the SOS dialler says "Dial SOS number?" and there are YES and NO buttons. One of the apps is a file manager and I could delve deep into the operating system files on the device - I don't know if these files could be renamed or deleted etc but it seemed like a recipe for disaster to allow a 6 year old to mess around with system files. She would - without a doubt - eventually find and explore the exciting game of "File Manager"!

A good idea take photos and keep them on this device- it’s a great young child’s solution
Love the simplicity of having a young child’s ability to take photos and keep and show them on a child’s device- such a good idea for them to record their own world.

Too many limitations.
My first experience with the phone was trying to turn it on. There is a small sliding switch on one edge. Whist it has raised markings it is still quite flat and therefore difficult to slide. The large centre button then controls the on/off state for the phone. Having turned on the phone I tried to set the time and date. Sliding the hours (etc) was not a smooth process but it's perhaps unfair to expect it to behave like a normal smart phone.I tried the camera but that was not impressive. The display was very slow and there was very little detail or colour in the image. On a positive note the display is quite bright and colourful. Games are far too simple and would not entertain a child for very long.Overall I was not impressed and, as others have said, perhaps better to spend a bit more, if you can.

Lightweight and fun
A small phone-like device combines basic calling (with a compatible SIM) and child-friendly features. There’s a camera, simple puzzle games, and a music function. The interface is bright and easy to navigate. The included lanyard helps prevent dropping. It’s been a gentle introduction to technology, allowing kids to feel grown-up while still providing parental oversight.

Handy bit of kit for the kids
As a single mum with two children, finding something engaging and practical always feels like a win for me. This children's phone has been brilliant for my 9-year-old daughter, who loves to play pretend, take photos with her friends, and explore the games. The included lanyard is a considerate addition – it saves me the hassle of searching for it when she's misplaced it! The robust, shockproof design is truly handy, particularly as my 3-year-old son often ends up playing with it too, and items frequently end up on the floor in our home. However, I do wish the instructions were simpler to follow, as it took me a while to figure out certain features, like the timer and music player. Also, the reliance on 2G for calls does feel outdated, although the non-calling features still manage to keep the kids entertained. It's a practical option for keeping little ones happy during the quieter moments.
