Reliable Compact Mp3 player with clip
This Ruizu Mp3 player has an easy to interface with my Chromebook, PC, and android phone. It has a USB-C plug so needs a USB-C socket cord (supplied) to charge and transfer to PC and Chromebook. Transferring music or voice files is simple and very logical. This Ruizu Mp3 product has a pedometer, bluetooth, repeat playback mode, equilizer, sleep timer, voice recorder, playlists and more. The sound quality is very good. Reliabilty is also very good. It is small and light. The clip makes it very mobile. Some users might need a stylus to operate the small touch screen.

A Good Way To Get Into Reusing Single-Purpose Tech.
The media could not be loaded. This is the best walkman-inspired MP3 player money can buy! The sound quality is really good, and the controls are not that hard to get used too! If you’re like me and love listening to music while working, this is one of the best devices you can use for a discreet listening experience you can jam out without anyone noticing (unless if you make it obvious). It’s small enough to throw in your pocket, and the battery lasts way longer than I expected. It plays pretty much any music file you throw at it, so no need to mess around with converting things. If you’re into that old-school Walkman vibe but want something that actually works in 2025, this thing gets the job done. Some cons I have include the bluetooth functionality, it’s good, but it isn’t perfect. Sometimes using wireless earbuds have a bit of audio dropout, which is expected since this device isn’t TOO expensive. But for almost $40 worth I feel like you could probably get a better-performing device, the buttons near the “touch” screen aren’t physical buttons either and are shown to be pressed with a blue backlight.Overall, if you’re interested in single-purpose technology like me and would love having a nice little knick-knack to listen to all your music properly, definitely order this, 100% one of my favorite investments in recent months.

Turns on by itself
Re: Ruizu digital music player, X004E8NUJD, 64 GB Type-C USB MP3The main plus for this product is its customer support (via email), which I found to be very congenial and helpful. Hana helped me and was very helpful and appreciated. The help was for all problems I had except for one: the unit turns itself on daily at 5:37 AM, and this causes troubles. The self-turn-on happens even when I haven’t touched it for over 12 hours. It’s just sitting there, I’m watching it (suspecting it’s doing this), & on it goes, with the screen lighting up, at exactly 5:37 AM. Every day. They never explained why it has this unusual behavior or how to stop it. The time it happens on your unit may vary, but it seems to cause troubles when it happens, in addition to unnecessarily running the battery down. If I used my unit before 5:37 AM, everything worked fine & was easy, when I restarted. If after 5:37 AM, I can’t even say what was different, other than I had a very hard time getting it back to where it was at, when I shut it down the day before (with the “1 2 3 bye” sequence). Plus if your previous Bluetooth is on when it self-starts, it connects. Which doesn’t sound so bad, as it doesn’t also start playing music. But the thing is, my Bluetooth makes a loud ding-dong whenever it connects or disconnects. So this could wake me up at 5:37 AM, scare me, and make me wonder, “Why did it just go ding-dong?”, if I didn’t know this was coming. The box lists a web site, but I don’t think it exists, as I couldn’t even get to it, let alone find anything of value on it.The unit is hard to use. Control is not intuitive. There is a manual, but it’s poorly documented. Here’s one example: Right out of the box (9/6/2025) the unit was on. I didn’t knowingly turn it on. It was already on. It was in some kind of “setup mode” & wanted me to choose a language. The font was too small for me to read it without my glasses. Just my touching it seemed to be making the selections change. I wasn’t changing anything, it was doing it all by itself. It picked some weird language I’d never heard of, and seemed to select it. Now I couldn’t understand anything it was saying, even with my glasses on. I kept trying to make it “go back” but it was having no part of that. I finally found an “off” button that seemed to shut it up. But now I couldn’t set the language to English. The manual that came with it says to find the Settings icon in the home menu. Both ways it says to reset the language say this. I tried a good ½ hour to find the Settings icon & couldn’t find it. How to get to the Settings icon?If customer support hadn’t helped me, I don’t think I ever would have gotten it to English.I really wish the manual had told me 2 other things:1] The only controls you have are the 5 button touch-cluster on the front, the 3 function switches on top, plus a reset pinhole on the bottom. The actual display screen does not have touch-screen capability, so touching it to do things doesn’t do anything.2] The control buttons do different things, based on “where you’re at.” To get back to a known place where you can then do what you want, keep hitting the “return” button, which eventually returns you to a familiar starting menu.I returned my unit to Amazon, for a refund of my purchase price. This daily “turning on by itself” is more than I can handle.

Record feature is tops! Great buy!
1. Record button makes it easy to record and save recordings. Option to chose internal or external mic. Clear and loud.2. Display is clear and compact, a bit bigger than a sansa clip.3. Bluetooth works fine. Quite a good range. I can walk upstairs and all around the house and it stays connected.4. Music files are easy to find. Tracks load in the correct order, which is not a given these days.5. USBC connection, with adapter to USB included.6. Charger and headphones included.7. I did not use the pedometer.8. 64 GB of memory is plenty, but there is no slot for micro sd card.9. FM radio works fine, even without plugging in headphones for an antenna! It may not have best reception without it but I couldn’t tell.
