One of my favorite building block sets ive gotten from cobi. The SR-71 is such an amazing plane. The flames coming The exhaust are awsome and I love how you can change the tail fins from nasa to airforce.

This product is really that good, it needs more hype. Overall, that's how I feel about Cobi. Their products are really competitive to Lego, but at this point, I don't think that they have the machinery yet to hype their products. I feel the same way with the Top Gun F-14. It should have gotten more hype. Instead, you have to deliberately search for these things. I'm glad I did. The engineering of this SR-71 model, particularly the fuselage, is excellent. Feels really sturdy. There are parts that feels fragile (can easily detach), like the flame effect behind the turbine, but that's easily forgivable. Compared to the $80 SRP of the Lego X-Men Blackbird, this product felt like a bargain by comparison, even if this is actually one of Cobi's pricier releases. I did not purchase the Lego X-Mansion, but this one was an instant purchase after seeing it listed here.

The finished model is very impressive. The bricks used are very unique and different from your standard building block set, you have to pay attention to the different sloped pieces as some shapes look similar but are different heights. The sloped pieces near the forward fuselage have a tendency to fall off when the model is touched, and it is very difficult to open the cockpit to place the pilot inside. The build experience was basic and not challenging. It is very cool that they offered two different versions tail number options of the NASA jets and the two different pilot uniforms. The stand is very sturdy and places the jet in a dynamic take off position, with the option to remove the landing gear for a flight -only mode. The scale is impressive (1:48) and looks nice with my other Cobi models (F-14A & F/A-18E). I definitely recommend this set for the finished look.

Overall very impressed, beautiful model! Pieces fit together great, instruction's were easy to follow, and no stickers. Definitely some different pieces than Lego makes but they work great. Detail of the model is very nice and the stand works great. Highly recommended and I plan on buying another Cobi set very soon! Great value and very fun build!

Nach ein wenig Recherche und Anschauen des Berichtes zu der COBI SR-71 Blackbird (5890) vom „HeldDerSteine“ war mir schon sicher, dass man mit diesem Bausatz von Cobi wirklich nichts falsch machen kann. Alle Teile passten hervorragend, keinerlei Beanstandung und die Umsetzung des Originals in diesen Bausatz ist absolut gelungen. Ebenso hatte ich KEIN Fehlteil. Beim Zusammenbau dachte ich schon an der ein oder anderen Stelle, „ob das später wirklich halten wird?“. Aber wenn der Bauabschnitt abgearbeitet war, waren auch meine Bedenken diesbezüglich ausgeräumt. Richtig gut umgesetzt finde ich außerdem die Unterseite in ihrer Mischung aus „Patchwork“ und den Hochglanzteilen, einfach super. Gestört haben mich Kratzer in den Oberflächen mancher Hochglanzteile, die wohl von dem Fertigungsprozess stammen. Das sollte man aus meiner Sicht dringend verbessern. Ob das „goldfarbene“ einiger Teile mehr kupfer- oder andersfarbig sein mag, hatte für mich keinerlei Bedeutung. Die Farbe ist vom Aussehen gleichmäßig an allen Teilen und auch stimmig am gesamten Modell, und aus meiner Beurteilung auch gelungen! Für den Zusammenbau habe ich rund 14 Stunden benötigt. Wer mit dem Gedanken spielt, sich diesen Bausatz von Cobi ebenfalls zu kaufen (wozu ich uneingeschränkt rate) der sollte von vorne herein mehr als ausreichend Platz für den Zusammenbau einplanen und ausreichend Licht ist bei diesem Bausatz zu wenig. Es sollte schon eine sehr helle Beleuchtung des Arbeitsplatzes sein. Die Bauteile unterscheiden sich in manchem Fall von der Bebilderung der Anleitung als auch das Bauteil selbst nur marginal und genaues Hinsehen beim Zusammenbau sowie die exakte Beachtung der Bauanleitung ist Pflicht. Fünf von fünf Sternen trotz leichter Kratzer in einigen Oberflächen, ist absolut gerechtfertigt. Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist aus meiner Sicht nicht zu toppen. Eine echte Empfehlung, definitiv. Ein tolles Modell, dass mich sehr begeistert! Vom Verkäufer „KS-Spielwaren“ gabs noch ein paar Päckchen Gummibärchen ins Paket und handschriftlich noch „viel Freude an dem Bausatz“. Kleine Geste, aber mich hat diese sehr gefreut, meinen Dank dafür.

Ein sehr gutes Modell - ein echter Hingucker. Man glaubt kaum dass es aus Klemmbausteinen gebaut wurde. Die SR-71 Blackbird kam schnell und unbeschadet bei mir an. Ich kann es sehr empfehlen.

Les briques sont de bonne qualité, l'assemblage est très correct, mais peut se montrer fragile tant qu'il n'est pas terminé. Je m'étais préparé à la grande taille de celui-ci, mais il est vraiment très très grand par rapport aux autres modèles de chez Cobi (comparé aux plus classiques F14 ou F18)

Tolle bedruckte teile keine Aufkleber wie bei lego. Super stabil. Man braucht nur Platz zum hinstellen
