Easy to put together and use
This was a gift for my father in law. He absolutely loves it. He's always looking at the constellations. He was so happy with it. My husband and I had a chance to try it out and it works so well with the phones and it was an easy set up too.

A bit disappointed
I had high hopes for this Telescope because it was a bit pricey, it didn't fully meet my expectations. I had a problem mainly with the mount because it felt a bit flimsy and struggled to focus properly when I aimed it in the sky. For the prize I expected better performance

very good starter telescope!
The Solomark 700mm Telescope set is a fantastic choice for anyone starting out in stargazing. The setup is relatively easy, and the instructions are clear, which made it quick to get everything up and running. The 700mm focal length provides great views of the moon and planets, and the included eyepieces offer a nice variety of magnification options. The build quality is solid, though the tripod could be a little sturdier. It works well, but it can be a bit to stiff when adjusting the position. Still, it’s a great value considering the price point. The optical quality is decent, and with a little patience, you’ll be able to spot some incredible celestial sights.Overall, a great beginner telescope with lots of potential for learning and exploring the night sky!

A quality build for beginners to skilled amateurs
I’ve owned an 8-inch Dobsonian telescope for many years. Prior to that, I had two inexpensive refractor telescopes which did not compare well with the Dobsonian. So, I tempered my expectations for this refractor from SOLOMARK, only to exceed them before even taking my first look through the eyepiece. The scope has quality you can feel. It’s light enough to comfortably tote around even while mounted on the stout, aluminum tripod. Not including the tripod (which retracts to about 25 inches), the scope “payload”, including the scope, Azimuthal mount and other accessories, weighs just under seven pounds—something to appreciate when wandering around in the dark, gear in-hand, in your yard or at an astronomy club group shoot. The AZ mount is a key feature. The mount angle easily adjusts to accommodate users of a range of heights and allow for quick, coarse adjustments when scanning the night sky. There are also two alignments knobs for precise positioning of the scope along the vertical (altitude) and horizontal (azimuth) axes. I can’t overemphasize their importance. At high magnification, an object you are close to locating can totally disappear from view with any coarse movement. The fine adjustment knobs keep you on target as you are closing in. The included finderscope has an important, similar role. It is sometimes overlooked in haste to locate a night sky object. It’s there for a reason. Take a few minutes to correctly align it, then use it. There is more to appreciate (along with the slick yellow trim on black aesthetic): The smartphone adapter is easy to align, and the scope is stable enough to keep unwanted movement to a minimum, allowing the camera to focus reliably. The lens cap on the SOLOMARK has a small hole which, when uncovered, serves as a smaller aperture to reduce the brightness of the moon, e.g., and guard against dust. At the cost of some image brightness and resolution, it can also reduce chromatic aberration and light scattering. 'Nothing but good feelings about this scope.
