Hobby BossF-105G Thunderchief Airplane Model Building Kit

Very nice kit!.. no flash at all.. nice detail .. good decals.. just 2 rather significant negatives.... instructions are very unclear wth little or no illustrations for some parts of the assembly especially the landing gear Also, and more importantly,, there should have been an option for the nose cone to swing out to reveal the radar and eco gear .. why go thru all that assembly and painting of that nose then just cover it up permanently?... same goes for the Gatling gun cannon assembly which was nicely detailed and quite tedious to build and paint only to close it up with the gun door which has no provision to open it to display guns.. Should have done something similar to Tamiya kits like the BF 109, where the use of magnets lets you display what’s behind door. .I had to devise my own ( i must say, clever ) way , to install both cockpit canopy’s in the open position to show off the rather nice cockpit details... should have had some photo etch for seat belts though.. ... You can’t compare Hobby Boss inconsistency to manufactures like Eduard, Academy or Tamiya. Much of this kit was poorly designed and I question cost vs. quality with this company.

Took forever to ship and arrive. Looks like it'll be fun to put together this winter.

My husband worked on the F-105 airplanes during the Vietnam War. He enjoys putting model planes together and was so thrilled that I found this one for him.

Been looking for the two seat version, this is a great kit that fits together well and has plenty of detail for the model enthusiast
