Perfect fit
Make sure you do your research and pick the right part. I did, and it was a perfect fit.

Fits old insinkerator ProSS-4. Probably 25-30 years old
Just the perfect part to replace old and nasty gasket. I'm not a plumber. Not as hard as you might read about, but you should be comfortable with simple plumbing work under a sink. Disposer is not light, so plan for 20+ awkward pounds in a tight space. A helper is good if you can both reach in the cabinet. You can loosen the attachment bracket quite a bit and easily control when the unit drops (see Insinkerator instructions - it's a good design). Have a foot long 2x4 flat on the cabinet bottom because the electric wire goes in the bottom and unit will not sit upright if wire is pinched (not good for the wire either). Turn off circuit breaker. My thoughts:1 ensure enough slack in the wires to ease the unit down to the bottom of the cabinet.2 disconnect and drain dishwasher hose--you need a small bucket/pan--and secure the hose out of the way3 remove screw and work loose the black elbow between the unit and the waste pipe (black elbow on the left, aiming down in the pic). Also loosen the slip joint (white) nut it goes into. The elbow was a bit hard to get out of the drain port given close clearances here. Clean the rubber gasket on the end of the black elbow--some people get a new rubber gasket but I didn't.4 clean the unit's drain port seat/sealing area very carefully, but don't scratch the metal. I did this before dropping the unit because it's easier when still attached and not wobbly.5 disconnect the unit from the bracket holding the unit to the sink and ease it to the 2x4, but not on the power cord6 the gasket is easy to swap out: no sealant etc. Pull out the old one and new one snaps right on.7 Lift unit back up - it's a bit tricky to get it to catch in the bracket. Tighten it a little so the unit won't fall. Then you can wiggle the unit and get the black elbow and screw in place and into the slip joint. My port is old and pitted so I put a very small bead of plumbers putty--think spaghetti diameter--in the sealing seat on reassembly, and a little silicone sealant in the slipjoint. I didn't tighten the slip joint until later because the unit is lifted up a bit as the bracket is tightened.8 Make sure it's all hooked up and give it a try. I leave the little bucket under the fittings for a few days to be sure no leaks!9 keep the new gasket packaging under the sink because you will have to redo this in a few years. It's handy to know exactly what to order

Fits great!
The old gasket on my garbage disposal was stained and worn out, so after a bit of effort, I was able to track down this new part! For anyone attempting the same thing, the DMG-00 is the proper gasket for an Emerson E120.No leaks and a relatively simple installation, but be aware that you'll be disconnecting the disposal and dropping it down off the sink to replace the gasket 😱 I used a 3-ton car jack and a 2x4 to hold it in place 😂

Nice but does NOT fit evolution series
I did not get to use this product because it did not fit. I have an insinkerator evolution series. It clearly says on the back of the box it WILL NOT fit the evolution series. The diameter was to large and did not fit down the sink hole. If it had fit it seems like it would have worked well. It is made of nice quality flexible rubber. It is not the products fault I bought the wrong one so it seems like a high quality cover, just make sure to cross reference you're model number first.

Seemed easy enough
I put these replacements in two of my sinks - one with PVC drains and one with rigid. Both were easy enough to disconnect from the plumbing. Loosening the so-called "Quick Lock Sink Mount" ring on one of them actually took a little more muscle, but eventually I got the leverage right with the wrench. You're better off with a long allen wrench than with the tool provided with the disposer. The part that also takes a bit of strength is hoisting the disposer back up into place. I almost wished I had used a jack or something for that, so that I could have hands free to position and tighten the quick lock ring. Anyway, it ultimately works out.As to the product itself, it slips right on and mounts easily. Feels like we have a new disposer. One tip - put a few phone books under the disposer when you loosen the quick lock retaining ring, so that when it ultimately falls from the sink (and it will) it falls a short distance and is cushioned by the phone books.

Didn't Fit
Didn't fit my model of insinkerator. There was no mention of specific model types that this gasket worked with in the About This Item section of the product page. After receiving it and found that it didn't fit I finally found the model numbers listed way down the product page. I'm not returning the item as it was mostly my fault for not reading the whole page. I would however suggest that you switch the About This Item location with the Product Description section as no one I know wants to read an entire page just to order a replacement gasket.

Check existing rubber first
Most of the time Rubber is not the issue for leaks. Flange need to be tightened all the way to stop. Double check model number, one fits Badger5, the other one doesn't

Price and that it’s an OEM PART
It’s an OEM so it fits, the price is rather high but a least you don’t have to leave the house to shop for it.

Good
Fit on my older Kenmore garberator. Seems a little thin rubber than the original. Happy with it
