We keep 2 on the window sill to recharge. They are small but give off a great beam. My little grandkids love them too, they just fit their little hands. After '3' years without having to buy batteries, they are still working great. We decided to buy 2 more for gifts and personal use, but we could not find them in our local stores. I bought three of these, and when they arrived I was disappointed to find that one didn't work at all from solar (wouldn't charge) and the other two were very dim (I remember my old one was much brighter). These have likely been sitting on a shelf somewhere for the last decade and the solar storage batteries have gone bad. HybridLight does not make this model of flashlight anymore. I called HybridLight and they immediately sent me replacements for all three flashlights as an upgraded newer product and a 50% off coupon for another item, so I bought their HEX bluetooth speaker.
