Tastes great! I was a little disappointed there was no guide to how much to use. However now I realize how much freedom that gives me. It’s already sweated. It’s super easy to experiment to your own taste. I ended up using 3 teaspoons for 14oz of oat milk blending it with my magic bullet and it tasted similar to other Thai milk teas I’ve had. Could definitely add more. I add 1/2 a teaspoon at a time and taste between blending. 1.5 teaspoons was not enough for 14 oz. but that’s where I started. I will definitely get this again once I’m out. I’ll be experimenting with amounts and different milk combinations. I think it’s a great value and quality to start if you are just getting into making it for yourself.

This is a huge bag of drink powder! It mixes well and is flavorful. However, it tastes and smells more like rose than sakura. We like rose so it’s good but we thought we were getting Sakura.

Is it a good deal for the amount you get? I thought so at first. Does it taste good? Absolutely not.I was very excited to try this because taro is my absolute favorite flavor of milk tea. I pretty much scoured the entirety of Amazon looking for a good taro tea mix, and what’s more enticing than a Taiwanese tea mix?? I read the very little reviews for this flavor (practically 2 reviews?) and decided I would risk it as I’ve been wanting to get boba without spending $8 per cup. The reviews for the other flavors weren’t bad, so you would think that the classic taro flavor would be the same, right?Well, unfortunately, the flavor was super disappointing. I really, and I mean really wanted to love this, and I also love supporting small businesses. I’m sad to say that the flavor literally tastes absolutely nothing like taro and is very… artificial tasting. I understand that it has Sucralose in it, however I’ve had many drinks before containing this exact ingredient, and never have they tasted this artificial, let alone soooo bitter. I had a really hard time drinking it. The only thing I could really do to rid some of the artificial flavor was adding more sugar, but even then that didn’t fix the issue of how it didn’t taste like taro at all. Additionally, it’s really misleading how they say on the bag that they use “real milk” and “real taro flavor” for this mix. Not true at all if you look at the ingredient list, plus it’s even more evident in the horrible flavor. It seems like from other reviews, the other flavors are much better, like the Thai tea, but I would avoid this flavor at all costs. It’s also worse because I can’t return this and more likely than not this brand doesn’t offer refunds of any sort.Sadly I now have this huge 2.2 pound bag of inedible tea mix in my kitchen that will probably wind up in the trash can in a couple of years from now. I really wanted to enjoy this considering how I spent $20 and even bought boba pearls go with this, but sadly the quality of this mix is really disappointing. The fact that there are also cheaper brands out there selling the same amount with EXACTLY the same ingredients is pretty upsetting too, and I’m really upset that I can’t do anything with this mix.

I did not see that it has artificial sweetener in it. Tastes like aspartame. Not a very strong tea flavor either. Tastes nice when mixed with coconut milk.

I love this item. It's so good and easy to use. I just added milk and crushed ice with Boba tapioca. You could also use any kind of milk or just water if you're allergic to milk products. I recommend this product.

This Mayde milk tea powder is a huge bag of loose scoop powder, authentic and made in Taiwan. It tastes great and really similar to milk tea from the local boba shop just by adding water.When I first opened the bag I was hit with a very strong almost acetone-like smell. I was very concerned but realized it was just the powdered black tea scent, which was very strong. The scent does make it a little off-putting. This bag is huge and has a LARGE quantity of powder, I think it could probably give at least 100 cups worth. I had a bit of trouble at first because there's no instructions for how to prepare the drink and how many scoops to use to water ratio. I realized I had to use nutrition facts to get serving size - 4tbsp. Once I added that much to a cup of hot water it tasted quite good albeit a bit sweet - I suggest to add water as needed.While the drink tastes quite good on its own it has a really high sugar content. It'd probably also taste better if I'd used condensed milk or evaporated milk instead of just water, but this drink is already pretty unhealthy and I wouldn't want to add more sugar in.Overall great to use in a pinch, but I wouldn't drink it every day.
