Impressive
This boot jack is what everyone needs if you own boots. It makes removing boots so much easier, especially if you have no one to help you remove them when they are very tight fitting if you know what I mean. The quality of this product is outstanding and the wood is fabulous. I see this lasting many years to come as it is well-made.

Quality contruction, just acceptable performance
Good quality solid heavy laminated wood; appears to be some kind of hardwood, based on weight. The function is only just acceptable, because the throat is too narrow. US size 10 hiking boot just barely works in the outer flared part of the throat. The main part of the throat is 2.5" and less.In addition that lack of tread on the part you step on to hold it means you can't use it if that foot only has a sock. One of the laminted areas is not completely glued all the way to the end; hopefully it will not detach.

Awesome boot jack!
I have been looking for one of these for my son! Most of them are held together with glue or little nails and don't look as though they would hold up!This one is a solid piece of wood! There is nothing to break! My son loves it!

Effective and Simple for Taking Wellies Off
We've all been there haven't we? Got our wellies covered in mud and then had to sit on the floor trying to pull them off whilst getting our hands filthy. I know I have. I'm doing some digging in the garden at the moment, and this welly boot remover makes the process of removing my boots quick and keeps my hands clean. I can nip in and out of the house in moments, mud free.Just put one foot on the back to steady it, and clamp your ankle into the slot and it will hold your boot firmly whilst you slip your foot out of it.I like that it's made from one solid piece of wood. Mine looks like the heart of a pine tree, as there's a core running through the middle of it. It's a rustic object and very pleasing too. It has rubberised grips stapled to the base and a strip in the inner curve perhaps to prevent the wood from being damaged over time.My only negative is that staples have been used to hold the inside strip in place, and there's a mark where the staple was, but it's missing. This is going to get pretty crusted and fluffed up with use. The same on the other side too. The edge is glued and stapled, though the edge is exposed and the glue is tacky. A magnet for muck. Saying that, unless it's cleaned regularly it's going to get dirty anyway.I really like it. Sometimes, the simplest designs are the most effective. This works, and for that I'm really happy with it.

High quality and well made
This Boot Jack from William Hunter is a nice chunky bit of wood that has been crafted into an appropriate shape making it a stylish and high quality item. It has a rubberised edge where your heel goes and a couple of rubberised strips on the bottom to provide grip. It's a very solid and heavy item that's good for all kinds of footwear that needs a bit of help to remove. It works well and the quality of materials and construction really shines through
