Doh
This chiapet is a lot of fun, but the seeds don’t stick to the sides of the planter well. The bottom tends to wash off.

So fun!
So fun! We had a mis-start mixing the chia seeds too thick, but once we figured that out Homer disappeared! Fun gift!!

This was a great Christmas gift and perfect for those who love the meme of Homer shrinking back into the hedges. For all the anti social lovers out there. Enjoy!

D'oh!! Very hard to get it to grow like the photo and meme
It's the perfect simpsons product tie in! One of the greatest memes ever come to life!Unfortunately it is very hard to grow it like the photo. I followed every instruction, but each night after you refill the water, more and more of the seeds slough off of the bottom half and end up in the drip tray. Right now mine is growing some 'vines' on the top half, so that should look okay. I'll try it all again in a couple weeks, but I doubt its possible to get growth over the whole thing. D'oh!!

Total disappointment
It’s a cute idea for a Chia Pet but there’s a huge problem with the way it’s watered. As most chia pets have the chia seeds growing from the middle to the top, the Simpson one goes from top to bottom. It says to dump the water from the over flow tray and put more water in the top. Well because this chia planter is planned to go from the top to the bottom the bottom sits in the overflow tray and as soon as you try to dump it out, all the chia seeds that were on the bottom just sludge off. We’ve tried multiple things over the past week from the original instructions, that sucked, to trying to wet it twice a day under the faucet as we didn’t have a spray bottle. We finally got some growth going when I filled it up and put over my steamer basket pan and sat it on the drip tray. But even then when I lifted it up to drain the water a big chunk fell off the brick. I finally went to the dollar store today and got a spray bottle in hopes that would work. No Chia Pet product should be this difficult. I bought it for my 13 year old son thinking it would be a fun little project for him but it’s been nothing but a huge pain into the booty. The pic I’m posting is after 7 days. We think we put too many chia seeds on it but that’s what the directions said and we even checked YouTube to make sure if we should use that much. Also idk if you can see the sides at all but they were completely covered and just fell off. My son is so disappointed seeing how hard we’ve been trying to fix things and can’t get it to sprout and how so many clumps have fallen off the sides and the bottom. If anyone buys this I would suggest to get a spray bottle instead of filling it up because the bottom will just slough off and the top will stay completely dry. The only reason I gave it a 2 star is because there was some growth along the sides and in between hi legs
