Practically perfect!
I'd had the SMITHS Mason jar recommended to me and it didn't disappoint. I got it to make my own kefir and it's perfect! Great size, great quality, great value for money and it looks great just sat on my kitchen counter top! 2 lids came with my order that are effective sealants, and the jar suits my requirements to a tee. It can prove a little difficult to clean as the kefir can cling to the bottom and sides of the jar, however, dampening kitchen roll, fitting it over a wooden spoon and working this into the base and sides of the jar leaves it like new again with very little effort. Very happy with this product. 5 stars!

Great jars
I ordered 4 jars for home brewing. I've used them all and they are great. I like that the mouth is just wide enough to get my SCOBY in and out and to be able to scoop out some liquid without having to pour (some of my other jars have really small openings that make it all a bit harder). I also liked the sticker thermometer labels that came with the jars.

Good stuff but the lid is leaking both of them because the jar come with 2 lids ( metal and plastic ) . Value for money:A bit expensive considering that the lid is leaking Storage capacity:Big enough for what I need Functionality:Exactly what I need Size:Good size for me

Well made but expensive.
Quite trendy and very well made. Like that it has two lids of different materials. It is also useful to have a temperature gauge that can be stuck to the side if required. It arrived very promptly. I wanted a large, wide-mouthed jar to make homemade kombucha and this fit the bill perfectly. However I feel it is very expensive for what it was. When all’s said and done it’s only a large glass jar however pretty or trendy it looks. That’s why it’s four stars and not five.

Pretty jar and useful
I have now 3 of these jars, i use them to brew kambucha and now i have much of it to share with othersI wash the jars in the dish washer, they’re strong and durableIt’s great to store food in themI’m very satisfied with the productThank you!!!
