The L-shape of the plate also benefits shooting in vertical orientation with panorama nodal slides, for maintaining a consistent nodal point, and shooting in horizontal orientation with side-mount gimbal heads. The dedicated design maintains full access to the battery door, and the plate is repositionable to promote easier access to the camera's side ports for shooting tethered. The CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum construction is finished with a Type II black anodizing, a 1/4"-20 threaded mounting socket is featured on the base, and laser-engraved center marks are placed on both axes for easy alignment.
