Does everything you need!
A really good, efficient, effective and easy-to-use epilator. Especially when you consider the price. I'd been using a much more expensive model for many years. Yes, it was all bells and whistles (seven heads, wet and dry capability, rechargeable and so on) but it had a number of disadvantages (very, very slow to charge, big and heavy and with a number of heads that I seldom, if ever use) and when I needed to replace it, I decided it was sensible (and more economical) to focus on something from a reliable manufacturer and that just did the job. This is it!Because it is so light it is much easier to hold for prolonged periods (and, believe me, you don't want to feel an epilator slipping from your cramping fingers mid-defuzz!) and the lead is more than long enough to ensure you can do it where there's a both power and a decent light source. It's also slighter and slimmer than the more fancy models and so easy for smaller hands to get a good grasp as you move in a circular motion.Because there's no pre-charging (just plug in and go), there's also no frustrating wait for hours on end for recharging to happen. If I need to sort my legs out, I can do it straightaway. And, curiously, although it doesn't have the most complex system in place to increase comfort, I found it perfectly acceptable. Now, granted I've been using a device like this for years and, so, am more used to the discomfort than a newcomer would be, but I even tried it on my arms, a very sensitive place for me, and it was no problem at all.All round, a great success!

Simple and works well
I bought this as I'd tried a very expensive 'cordless' epilator after my old trusty 'Babybliss' one died, and the cordless one was totally rubbish and not powerful enough. I wanted to go back to a corded one as they more powerful and hence less painful when removing hairs! This is perfect for me - simple and reliable. I use it without any guards on it at all. People always say you get what you pay for, but in this instance this inexpensive option is definitely better for me.

I was slightly disappointed with this product
I was slightly disappointed with this product. When using it doesn't always remove hairs from the roots like advertised. You also have to go over stops more than once sometimes. Overall though it was at a good price and gets the job done (eventually)

A BRILLIANT BUY
This is a brilliant epilator. Has lots of tweezers on the rotating head which gets the job done quickly. I find it painless, but I have been epilating for years...keeps legs pretty much hair free for 10 - 14 days. This is my 3rd time buying this over the years, so I think that speaks for itself.

Exactly as described, fast & effective for price range.
Not very painful, especially after first use when you realise all those reviews about how painful it is just made you unnecessarily apprehensive. Used on legs and underarms (underarms was more painful than legs). Excellent results in that hair takes much longer to grow back. Being cord-only, it is helpful to use an extension lead so you can sit in the bath/shower as can get quite messy with hairs going everywhere. Two speed option handy, although now that I am used to it I only use the high speed option. The little motor makes a whiney noise, but so be expected at this price point. Great for travelling as so small and discrete - has a STANDARD British plug so no need for converter to bathroom shaver plugs. Head gets quite warm after about half an hour of use - not going to burn you but it was alarming the first time it happened. I now know that it is not going to either burn me or explode so don't panic if this happens to you!Pros - lightweight, fast and effective, lots of tweezers (unlike competitors who only have 20), does exactly what it is designed to do, easy to clean, good price!Cons - cordless feature would be handy, makes a whiney noise but that is pretty standard for price range, head can get quite warm after 30 mins of use.

last seen heading to the bathroom in search of a razor for leg two...
I had taken a couple of painkillers and drank an energy drink in preparation for removing the winter growth of fur from my legs (yep....rarely wear skirt or dresses in winter so only shave my legs those months if I can be bothered. Think of it like a free extra thermal blanket during winter.) I liked the idea of eliminating so I didn't have to shave armpits or legs more than once a month and I was prepared for it to hurt. The first leg was ok, it didn't hurt that much and it gave a decent job. Admittedly it missed a hair here or there but that could be user error too so I'm fine with that. I cleaned it out with the supplied brush and started on the second leg.....only there was nothing. No pain or anything....because it wasn't plucking anything. The wheel was turning but no plucking happened.Disappointed but you can't have it all.

I only had fine hair growing and so I could go half a ...
I found that a lot of hairs broke off. I kept at it for 6 months and have switched to sugaring because it was very frustrating having hair grow back the next day. Admittedly, I only had fine hair growing and so I could go half a week without worrying about showing hair, but it was supposed to last a lot longer! I think it might be because I've got baby-fine blonde hair on my legs, and only a smattering of the coarser stuff, and so it couldn't get a good grip. A slower speed epilator would be a better option, in my opinion.

Read about this epilator before you buy it but it is really good and the price is great. Shame it's not cordless
Good valueReally efficient compared with my ancient Philips santinelle that broke a while ago and the Braun wet and dry cordless I returned after a month following satinelles death.Shame it's.not cordless but the forty nippers definitely make a difference!! Not bothered that it's not wet either at thirty quid.
