Everything is in the kit to install new belts and the roller brush. The replacement roller brush had fewer bristles and they aren't quite as rigid as the originals from Dyson.

Fits well and restored a Dyson vacuum to a working state.

...needs better instructions. The printed instructions didn't help me at all, but if you're buying this online - then you know Google is just a click away and you can solve that problem (I watched [...] for the tool and [...] for the belt change instructions). It took me a few tries to get the 2nd side of the belt onto the tool hooks as it takes some upper arm strength, but once I got it lifted onto the tool, then it was SO much easier to replace the brush than using a screwdriver as I've done previously.Make sure you seat the brush ends correctly (the positioning of the curved sides and how they lay/face in the housing) before you release the belt from the tool (pay note to how it the original brush you're replacing is seated before you remove it - please learn from my mistake LOL).I would have rated 4 stars since the included instructions only addressed the tool use and nothing about how to change the belts, but I didn't want to ruin the all-5 star rating for this minor complaint. The tool, brush, and belts were good, so it is a solid 5-star product.Suggestion to purchasers - review youtube videos to see how you check the components - you might only need just the brush. But you also might need to replace a cracked hose, or other items. It helps if you know and can order them all at once rather than realizing that when you go to replace the brush and belts.

This was our second time ordering the belt but i cant remember if it was this company. But the first time we didnt order it with the hook. So the picture instructions were not as detailed as what he needed but he did eventually figure it out. I dont think i could have been strong enough to change the belt myself but it was cheaper to do it ourselves.

Great value for the set. Instructions to change the brush included, but nothing on how to change the belts. There's a great 38 minute YouTube video out there that takes you through taking apart and putting together the machine. Wish we had watched the video first and would have saved a lot of time.

If you think you can get by without the accompanying tool kit you probably can't. It would have been impossible for me to stretch the belt around the roller without it. Spend the extra money and get the tool kit. You will thank me. If you are replacing just the roller and not the belts, you may be able to get by without the tool kit because the belts are all ready stretched.

This worked great for me but it still isn't an easy task. Considerable effort is required to be able to pull the belt over the posts on the tool. For my model Dyson I ended up having to replace the clutch assembly so the replacement belts didn't end up being useful. Taking the clutch apart to be able to replace the belts is not an easy task as it wasn't designed to be serviceable. Having this tool however allowed me to be able to get the old roller brush off. I don't know how else I would have been able to do it. The end result is the vacuum is now working like new!

The kit arrived well packaged. I have also bought a clutch drive to be on the safe side. eventually the rubber belts on the old clutch were OK., there was some internal problem in it. some day i will take it apart using YouTube guiding instructional videos and might be bale to fix it.. Currently i have replaced eh whole clutch unit. the rubber belts workout tool is not easy to work with. at times it is easier to work without it. I could think of a different tool to properly handle the rubber belt.

Spent a fair amount of time to take apart only to find out that it doesn’t come with the thin band that goes to the motor. This is the one that needs replacing
