I have used this shaver a couple of times - once by just applying water on my back before shaving and the second time while in the shower. This razor blade works best when your back is wet as there is less risk of nicks or cuts from dragging it on dry skin. In both cases, it shaved cleanly with no cuts at all - the first time around, I think I went over the same spot several times, resulting in a bit of razor burn in that spot. The second time around, I shaved a particular area just once or at the most twice and it was perfect. It shaves closer than the mangroomer (I have the older version and it is nearing the end of it's life after 10 years of use), and the reach is much better because of the longer handle. Am not sure how long each blade will last - the comments seem to indicate about 5 uses before one has to replace the blades. I'll probably go back and forth between this one and a new mangroomer only because the latter is faster to use. Quality and Functionality are the Best on the Market. Just Pricey *by A***K on August 16, 2025* Easy to use, leaves skin nice and smooth with virtually no nicks or snags. Super functional and the exfoliating pad is a game changer. Only 2 things is the blades while are in place very well to remove them is a bit tough especially in the shower. Next gen that would be a great improvement to change the locking system from a friction slide to some kind of click in button release. And the price is a tad steep. Can’t say enough about the quality and functionality but even the most expensive weighted razors and blade replacements aren’t in the ball park of where this sits.
