Well worth the money

The bio active chlorine remover works i suppose, and so do the test strips, however the fast filter start is useless it’s the main reason I bought the kit so I could introduce fish quicker however i might as well have just not bought it and cycled my tank naturally as what I’m doing now seeing as I’ve used the bottle up trying to create a “ safe environment for fish to live in”. Personally I wouldn’t bother and would just wait for your tank to cycle because I’m sure the stuff is just water.

I used this to set up a new tank to transfer two existing fun fair won gold fish into. The instructions were really clear & easy to follow. I did exactly as it said & now the test show the filter is established & that the tank ph is ideal for the fish. They appear happy & healthy & are enjoying the new larger tank. I am pleased that the tank is working well. This set has all you need to set the tank up & feel confident that you are doing the best for your fish.

Excellent little kit. Despite being complete beginners, we successfully started an aquarium with this kit. The plastic test tube broke very quickly but I was -and still am-able to use it. It was quite fun to watch the nitrogen test change from cerise to clear as the days passed; added the first fishes then a water change and have added another fish now too. All is well so it clearly works. Have plenty of tank start and testing tablets left to continue maintenance with. I will get a proper testube next time I'm in a place that sells them though.

This arrived with the box completely squashed and torn. It had no instructions and the ones on the tubs are tiny and impossible to read. It’s a starter kit so some idea of what the levels were supposed to be would have helped. We had to go out to a pet store and buy all of the bits again s we had some idea of what we were looking at.

Good testing kit! Only thing i would say is it would be nice if there were more Nitrite testing tablets in there as i used mine much faster than anything else in the kit.

Just bought a new aquarium and this product was invaluable in testing the water to make sure it was ready to put fish in. I washed the gravel and then changed the water in the tank on four occasions thus making sure all residual debris that was missed had been removed, I then ran the tank for a week before using the kit, and my fish are thriving.
