I bought these to use as closures on some leather items i'm making, i wanted a magnetic closure that had some form of decorative top piece as the items I make aren't aren't lined to hide the fastening.You do need a proper setter to fasten these in place, which i already had but you do have to be a bit gentle when setting them or it seems the magnetism gets knocked out. and they won't hold shut.I would have preferred it if there were more option than just the antique bronze finish available, but they look reasonable and do the job if you are careful with them, and they are a lot cheaper than some others i have bought.
