These linear diffusers are a great value and well made

These are a great deal. They look nice and do their job well. My biggest complaint against them is that there is no way you would want to run anywhere close to the rated capacity on them. Many manufacturers give ranges of capacities, static pressures, and noise levels but all we have here is a single number and it is way too high. I put a pair of 60"ers on an air handler rated at 383CFM at full output as a test. The outlet worked well provided it was in the straight down configuration, otherwise it was a bit loud for a residential application. The return vent whistled like crazy. Keep in mind this is _well_ below the 533CFM rating. I ended up removing one of the vanes from each slot which got it down to a reasonable level and still looks good. Once I added the second (smaller) set of vents in the adjacent room my airflow to these ones to 280 CFM. At that volume the vents were near silent (with 2 vanes still removed from return).

I’m an Hvac professional and we ordered these to install on a custom home we were doing. We have used another brand in the past but had to order these due to time constraints. Paint chips are falling and peeling off even though we used to tape to protect as the install guide suggests. The inside baffles fall out when trying to move them. They are not typical size for a linear diffuser, they are smaller than the size description reads. Will never order these again and the install is taking twice as long due to cheaply made product, and will have to be touched up with paint. Don’t order!

These vents are decent quality, but can chip and scratch depending on how they are handled and installed. The main thing to be careful with is sizing and its best if you size the opening once receiving the product.
