Handy booster
I do a lot of microcontroller and sensor projects, so a booster ( or dropper) is often involved. With RaspberryPi having USB the quick and tidy nature of this is ideal for plug and play testing. So lots of uses and although bare boards maybe a little cheaper, this is a tidy and protected solution.Review of item: SinLoon DC boost cable 20AWG USB 5V to 12V boost converter, USB2.0 male to bare wire boost cable suitable for cameras, mini speakers, USB fans, etc. - 1M

A useful convertor for the electronic enthusiast.
SinLoon DC boost cable USB 5V to 12VIf you need to power a low power 12v circuit from a 5v USB port then this the gadget you need.It is capable of supplying 12v at 0.8A maximum from a 5v supply. The convertor enclosure has a red led that lights up when a 5v supply is present.I would have liked the cable length between the usb and convertor to have been a bit longer, say 25cm rather than the 7.5cm as supplied.I also think that the £9.99 price point is too high, since there are available probably the exact same convertor complete with a car cigarette socket for several pounds less than this unit. That said the unit works ok for powering low current, 800mA max devices.
