GE Replacement Refrigerator / Freezer Ice Maker WR30X0327

Make sure the Ice Maker is LEVEL (FRONT to BACK) when tightening the 2 screws that hold it to the side of the freezer wall. A little known secret that I did not see anywhere in the instructions is !!!!! The size of the Ice Cubes can be (Regulated) or (Adjusted) by this. Pulling the front cover off, Pull hard, then with a very small screwdriver, turn the tiny screw with a Straight Blade Jewelers screwdriver or something small, turn the small white plastic screw left or right + or - to get the desired Size of Ice Cubes to your liking. Let it make a few batches first then see if they Suit your Fancy !!!!! Thank You Amazon and the Seller for a Swell Product !!!!

This is a value for the money. Works well and easy to install as replacement. Works well producing ice. So much cheaper than any other place I found.

Have a 21 yo GE fridge, the drive gear broke, so that was my first try,, tried to pop gear off like the reviewers said,, broke the motor. the screw ( if it was that,) would not budge, ,, anyhow, now trash, saw this for less than others,, comes with two wire harnesses,, cleaned the unit with vinegar wipes and water,, put in,, only has two upper screws, My original had three and a bracket to cover connector, this does not,, this makes 7 cubes not 8.. ( big deal) comes with other pieces ( generic unit) to put into most freezers,, worked out, been making ice no problem, took off plastic on bail cuz it stopped the ice dump too soon,, was easy to do,, motor housing a bit bigger than original not really a problem getting ice from door... all in all worked out but had to put a bit of bulb grease on connector, to full mount it,, and the harness is a couple inches to long,, seems okay if you are aware when you pull ice tray to clean it once in awhile.. UPDATE 10-12,, this thing is making good hard cubes,, fills the bucket in no time.

Easy match up, installed quick, Fits like a glove! Started making ice about an hour after install. The temperature of the unit has to be around 15° based on what I've read. Several videos on YouTube about the installation and troubleshooting. Didn't need to unplug the fridge or shut the water off. Very easy to install. 5 stars!

It fit in my GE fridge and it works fine. I am a maintenance person and it took 5 minutes to replace. Anyone can do it with a screwdriver or nut driver depending what is holding your old ice maker in.

My Kenmore ice maker part # WR30X0327 died, I ordered a new WR30X0327 and that's what shows up on my Amazon order, but what really showed up is WR30X10093A. I read multiple reviews that mentioned a different part being received. I remained open-minded thinking it may be due to the old original part being discontinued. This new replacement IS NOT the same. I believe I can make it work, but would've appreciated notification of the part number difference from the vendor - or better yet, don't offer the one you don't have. The new one seems to be built for a side-inlet for the water, where my original one came in from the back. Luckily I saved the original water feeder tube because the new one is too short and too big around. There are three plastic inlet tube trays included, which I obviously didn't use. They do provide two different wiring harnesses, which was helpful. It's installed and making ice now (hopefully!). If there are issues I'll update this post

Can not find anything to complain about. Installation was easy, price was right and has worked fine since install. It was worth the risk to me to try this option first rather pay to have tech come out and fix.

Product worked great, had a little trouble getting it hooked up, but tech support helped me trouble shoot on a Sunday and was making Ice in a few hours. There was nothing wrong with unit but we were able to trace it back to water valve.
