Good buy with just one little but!
This is a nice product, worth the price for portable viewing. Keep the kids quiet in the car take it on holiday or an overnight stay. The picture is an excellent 1080 rendition and the maximum volume from the small speakers is quite good and not loud enough to annoy the neighbours or the driver in a car. This is only my immediate impression as I've only had the unit for a couple of days but it does come with all the cables. A mains supply cable and ac12volt cable for the car, a HDMI cable and a red, yellow, white plug cable for stereo and video out. It also gas a SD card slot and USB plug. The manual is quite comprehensive and so is the remote control. Here's the BUT! I couldn't find any reference to how to check the status of the battery charge. Played a disk when it first arrived until it stopped playing. It then took three hours to charge before the light went off and then played a 1hr DVD with no problem. You can play a DVD while plugged in to either the mains or the car but it would be nice to know the status of the battery.

Play DVD and Bluray on the move without a TV.
Plays DVD and BluRay. Nice big screen which could be swivelled around and was easy to use. Bought it to go away on holiday where we wouldn’t have a TV and it was just what I wanted. Good quality feel to it.

Very nice player.
When I got the player the picture seemed quite good but after a few weeks the picture seems to have deteriorated. So have lowered my rating from 5* to 3*. Not recommended to future customers.

Fantastic image
I bought this a couple of months ago as I had stockpiled a load of Blu-ray discs to watch over Xmas. Although quite expensive, it's a lot better than my last one which only just lasted 18 months (grrr!) The sharpness of the films is quite remarkable (hence the title of this review) and I just hope it doesn't break down for at least two years! As far as I know, this is the ONLY decent sized screen portable Blu-ray player on the Amazon marketplace so I might buy another one before they are discontinued....

Time to go retro!
With streaming services taking over, there is less and less demand for DVD/Blu-ray players. However, every now and then, a vintage DVD that is not available online needs an old school player. Also, streaming can sometimes not provide the quality that is present on a Blu-Ray disc. Whatever the reason, every home needs to be able to play a DVD at some time or other. This portable Blu-Ray player is a big, chunky, retro machine, but with a few modern tweaks. It plays DVDs, of course, and has a good sized screen to enable the user to watch anywhere there is a mains socket. This is a useful thing to have, as it provides a reasonable screen size to watch movies in rooms that don't have a TV or computer. On the plus side, the player includes connections for HDMI, USB stick and memory card, so you can use it to play files, either music, photos or video, or you can plug it into your TV and use it as a standard DVD player if you want to.The minuses are that it is very heavy to carry around, it does not recognise .mkv files (one of the most popular formats now), and it costs a heck of a lot more than a standard Blu-Ray/DVD player that plugs into a TV.Overall, this is a fascinating attempt to bring back the portable player. It works really well with the provisos mentioned above. My main quibble is that the price is a lot more than, I suspect, most people would be willing to pay for just an extra bit of playback quality.

excellent with caveat
This is a good machine but no way it lasts the stated 5 hours on battery, i know volume and brightness are a factor here but i did 2 runtimes one with bluerays mid volume and mid brightness i got 2 hours 15 minutes, so less than half the stated time i also did a dvd runtime this run for 2 hours and 19 minutes so again less than half the advertised so ifor this reason it loses 2 stars, it just about lasts for a decent lenght of film so you read into that what you may i also contacted supplier with no answer enough said.
