Very misunderstood
So...I manged to break this radio in about 2 hours. I was getting it ready to return when I decided to remove the batteries. It all came back to life. The biggest problem with this unit is not knowing it. Yes...channels dissapear and saved stations are lost, but then all of a sudden it all falls into place. And then all you realise what you have. A fantastic bit of kit. I have many short wave radios, the D-808, the Tecsun sx2000, the Xdata D-109, the PL-330. I also have the PL-880 which are all better for SW but this in in another league. The internet radio is fantastic. Buy it.....you will not regret it.

Don't buy it's appalling
12 BBC stations on the internet mode ( Other internet radio has full list) or have to go through a lengthy process of searching internet for the URL and copying and pasting into another website to make it work. Broken links to stations so doesn't work.Stutters on programmes where my Pure radio doesn't on the same network. MW is exceptionally poor and the user interface is awful and not user friendly.

Closed system radio forcing you to go throught the constructor website and esim plans
Not possible to add an internet radio station direcly on the radio. Must go througt a website.Switching between internet station is very slow around 10/20 seconds.External antenna input very close to the tunning knob which is not great.Does support only esims from choyong with very expansive monthly subscriptions

Excellent Internet Radio with combined reasonable performed FM, AM/MW/LW, and SW capabilities in one
this is a excellent portable internet radio with reasonable reception performances for FM, SW (SSB capable support both USB and LSB) . MW-AM/LW reception performances are bit weak as expected as per the manufacture's descriptions of this radio, especially for the in-door operation however, performance can be improved with a tuneable AM/MW loop antenna, e.g. Tecsun AN-200; out-door AM/LW performance with the attached telescopic antenna is acceptable. For WiFi connection, it would be really good if it supports WAP2/WAP3 WiFi security encryption protocol in addition to WAP/WAP2

CHOYONG INTERNET RADIO
Excellent Internet Radio., but has a flaw with TF Card. Two Radios I purchased and both of them wouldn’t keep the TF Card inserted.. Had to manually push them in to update the software. which wasn't easy to hold for 5 minutes without touching any of the nobs. The second Radio as part of an gift offer was supposed to include the carry bag, tf card and a removable tool. neither of which I received. I opted for this even though it meant waiting considerably longer for the Radio whereas I could have received the Radio the very next day. Can you tell me if I am going to get these items. Although the Radio is very good, because of the missing items and flaw trying to insert tf card I can only give you a 3 star Rating.

Fell at the first hurdle
I have many radios, traditional, internet and combined. I was very excited by the online videos of this product, so I bought it to add to my collection. After updating the firmware to the latest version I was eager to use the internet features first. I have fibre broadband with average speeds of 135mbps on wifi in most rooms. My devices all work just fine. After connecting the Choyong LC90 I had nothing but trouble with it.Some of my favourite BBC programmes available on Sounds do not appear in the internet listings. When testing a podcast out I was met with freezes, restarts, network errors and no ability to use pause/play for forward/backward in a podcast when it did manage to play at all. The favourite disappeared (the display even told me it was removing it!) and so it goes on.Not what you expect from a £235 device. The take away from watching YT videos with headlines line "the best radio ever", is think twice and maybe even three times before buying.
