My research tells me that the usage of the miswak goes back centuries. I am only sad to find that there are no plants native to North America that serve the same function.My biggest gripe regarding the miswaks are that they're wrapped in plastic. I'm trying to use less plastic in my life.Otherwise I find them pleasant to use. Of course, one has to get used to the new and foreign sensation of a stick in one's mouth.It sheds bits and pieces as you brush, but I think that's just par for the course with such a medium of dental hygiene.Overall, I enjoy them thus far.
