In shopping for rags, I noticed the trend on product listings is to advertise 16x27 towels as "salon towel", while the 16x24 and smaller towels are touted as "cleaning towels". The 3" in length seems to determine the advertised usage. This particular set of "salon" towel is made of the same microfiber material as all my other utility towel, which is perfect for general cleaning as a rag since I don't go the salon, or the gym.When I used it to wash cars, the extra 3" does seem to hold more soapy water and require a bit less dipping motion into the bucket, and in theory the extra 3" of material would make drying the car quicker too, but nothing that I can notice. Inside the house, I discovered that the extra 3" is actually a liability when used for wiping kitchen counters, the extra length makes the towel overly bulky and tends to knock things over with its "tail" , so keep that in mind. On the other hand. the extra 3" of absorbency makes soaking up spills that much faster.Other than the extra 3" of length, these towels work as well as all my other microfiber towels with no noticeable difference. I can say that the colors did not run during the first wash, which is better than those red shop towels that are sold in a package of 50. At this price for 24 towels of this size, I consider it a good value.

I can't believe that this is the first time in my life that I have had black towels. These towels are so absorbent and so handy that I am reaching for them all the time for so many different uses. And because the package has so many inquantity I can grab one and use it toss it in the wash and not have to worry about reusing it until after it's washed. I love the size and find that it's Perfect for Everything from cleaning up a spill of the dog's Water bowl to wrap it around my hair when I get out of the Shower. The possibilities really are endless and the quality is great and offer so many different venues for use. And I love that the black color hides a lot of stainsthat may not wash out even thoughyou have diligently laundered them...black towels. MAN, I wish I'd have gotten them sooner!!
